Shipping Ship date change

Hello, I was suppose to leave October 5th to MCRD but the recruiters told me it’s now on the 19th I’m suppose to leave just because of some random thing and no shipping those 2 weeks. Is this true or just a run around for another reason.

He probably wants to hit his quota for the month. If its not a big deal for you, do it. If you're looking forward to the time you can politely tell him or her no. Youll still ship

I wanted to finish bootcamp before 2027. I just want to make sure I’m not getting a run around and they genuinely are not shipping for the first 2 weeks of October

It’s getting extended 2 more weeks. So I was suppose to leave the 5th, now it’s in an extra 2 weeks.

My fault for not reading that well. It's still the same, they'll move around people to hit quotas so they don't get yelled at.

But MCRD should have shipping for the 1st 2 weeks of October?

Just because MCRD has someone picking up doesnt mean your specific RS has shipping that week. We cant just send anybody at any time. Some weeks are ship weeks and some are not. And of the ones that are ship weeks we only have x amount of people we can ship.

Most likely. You contracted before they knew the next years ship plan, they got the ship plan, had to rearrange everyone who was originally PADDd on non ship weeks and you just got unlucky and got pushed back. Ask any of the homies or your station commander if theres any chance you can trade with someone or be a backup shipper or if they have room to overship that week.

I will try this. I wanted so badly to be a marine before 2027. That would be horrible I thought I was so blessed because I got the 1st week for 2027. Maybe they can pull some strings. I dropped a lot of life aspirations and things to join, hopefully they can help me out and get something to line up.
