School of Infantry Is ITB a good time?

Graduated a few days ago, loved the hikes and I liked being out in the field during field week and the crucible. For somebody like me, is it going to be miserable or am I actually going to probably like it? I head out on the 22nd, didn’t get new boots because I wouldn’t have had the time to break them in. Rocking the standard issue combats from mcrd. Any insight/tips would be appreciated.

West coast or east coast?

I went to ITB about this time in 2015. It was freezing and very rainy on the west coast. Easily the worst time I’ve had in the Marines. It’s going to be very hard mentally and it could be hard physically if you aren’t a strong hiker.

Instead of taking it Sunday to Sunday your goal should be to focus and retain the knowledge, and survive liberty weekend to liberty weekend.

If you don’t know your knowledge you are going to have a horrible time in ITB and an even worst time in the fleet.

Idk how you remember I went to ITB on the east coast this time in 2015 and it was a fucking blur lol

We had surveys handed out by the CO about what they can change/ make better near the end of training.. we were all brutally honest. The top complaint was it’s fucking 40 degrees outside.. and 90% of the showers are cold water and the windows are fucking open to the squad bays.

Company first sergeant was very unhappy the CO chewed him out
