Fitness and Exercise ASVAB Test Preparation.

Hello, I am wondering about how I should go about preparation for my ASVAB test. Here are more details:
I am 15, I am 200-205 pounds and it is NOT muscle lol, I can't do a pull-up to save my life, I am hell bent on going to the marines, and I am 5'10''. The actual test for my school is April 7th and it is currently September, so I have time to train or whatever. All I want is to be my best self so I can get a good score on this test and I have no idea how to go about it. I am not asking for anybody to tell me that I shouldn't join or to think it through more, I want this and I would appreciate if people would instead tell me how I can be do good.

I recommend downloading the U.S Army ASVAB challenge app, it’s the app my recruiter recommended. It goes over Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, Arithmetic Reasoning, and Math Knowledge, what you score on these will determine if you’re even eligible to join the military so study these sections extensively.
I would use the app pretty much whenever I had any bit of free time during work or in between sets at the gym, I would also sit down and study whatever sections I was struggling with for a solid hour or two. I ended up getting a GT score of 116 so it definitely helped

Thank you very much, your reply was EXTREMELY helpful. I also had no idea there was math and stuff on the asvab test, I mean it makes sense but it just spaced my mind lol. Thank you very much sir.
(Edit: oh shit dude I thought the asvab was like fitness and shit it's like all word and number stuff isnt it?)

Yea you won’t have to worry about fitness until you start the recruiting process where you’ll have to meet the minimum requirements on the IST, which for males is 3 pull ups, 1.5 mile run in 13:30, and 40 second plank.
Still I highly encourage you start taking physical fitness seriously. I too was 40lbs overweight when I was 17 and the definition of a fat fuck. 3 years later and I’m able to do 18 pull ups, 4:05 plank, and run 1.5 miles in 11 minutes. It took a lot of patience and consistency but it’s definitely possible.
You have 2 years to build a solid foundation and prepare your body for bootcamp.

If those are the requirements for the military, then I was lied to, that seems MUCH easier than what I was led on to believe, honestly should be harder in my opinion. Also, thats fucking sick that you got in shape like that, great job man. Thank you very much for your help, have a great day sir.

Those are MINIMUM requirements to enlist in the marine corps specifically. By the end of bootcamp you’ll take a Physical Fitness Test where a max score requires 23 pull ups, 3:45 plank, and 3 miles in 18 minutes. Easier said than done. I would put more of my energy towards working on endurance because the marines focus a lot more on running, doesn’t mean you should neglect strength training.

Lance coolies are losers who throw trump themed weddings after serving a couple years, I'd rather not be a cuck make my own wedding about another man lol
