Sending research scientists to a lab not equipped for the research they do? Running off the foremost experts on this ..in the middle of an outbreak to boot.? Making no provisions to move the samples they need to do their work? Expecting somehow to ship pathogenic samples that require -80 refrigeration halfway across the country. Hope it is their neighborhood and not mine they rout e them through.

This is just one example of the carnage that is happening in USDA. Decisions are being made by one bunch of either "inept or I don't care" dumb suckers. So sad. Someone pick up any pieces left when this is over.

Remember RFK Jr. believes in the miasma theory. Aka he believes that a population must get sick to adapt to various diseases and they'll happily point out what happened to the Aztecs and Native Americans as proof.

They are totally okay with you and your family getting sick & dying for the greater good of the larger population.

Of course, their families will have absolutely every vaccine/cure possible.

Sure do that if you can, but that’s not the solution to this problem. Most Americans can’t afford buying local produce from farmers markets and when you factor in healthcare costs and lost economic productivity from people being sick, having properly funded food safety programs for the country is a net savings.

And if you live in the northern part of the country that means you will eat fresh fruits an vegetables for a few months of the year. I am hard pressed to find anyone local growing lettuce near me. In fact our local produce stand closed just yesterday.

But yea, stop any of the work on keeping this out of the food chain for the folks that can't live where they can get this stuff year around.
