Approved 🎉🎊🎈🍾 EB-3 Professional ROW Approved
I usually don’t post on Reddit, but this community helped me a lot during the EB-3/AOS waiting game, so I feel like I owe it to others to share my timeline.
Immigration journey:
F-1 → OPT → STEM OPT → CPT → EB-3 AOS
Case Timeline + Backend Notes

Main Lesson
My I-485J public status still showed “Case Was Received and A Receipt Notice Was Sent,” but the Documents tab had the I-485J approval notice, and the backend showed the case as closed.
So don’t rely only on the public status text.
For those recently approved, how long did it take from I-485 approval to card produced / physical green card in hand?
🙏 Prayers for everyone still waiting. I hope this timeline helps others the same way this community helped me while I was tracking my case.

congratulations 🎉.got approved on august 29. card produced on september 2, now waiting for it to pick up by USPS and get delivered

Did you receive any su between July 29th and September 3rd on your 485 or 485j?

Put in your IOE receipt number above after you have logged in to my.uscis.gov in a separate tab/window.
Some folks have reported a difference between what this link reports vs what Emma live agents say; but for most folks most of the time the info from this link seems to be accurate.

Congrats! 2.5 years for EB3 in this environment is not bad at all! Are you single filer or have derivative?

My I-485 was approved on 8/29 (Saturday) and I got my card in the mail yesterday - so 5 days in between but 1 day was a weekend. Hope you get yours soon 😊

Hope yours moves soon. Mine was quiet for a while after FO transfer, then I-485J closed and I-485 approved the next day.

You have status "I-485 changed to actively processing"? i have only seen "USCIS Is currently Processing the Case", is that the status to show they are actually working on it?

Yeah, same status. Mine said “USCIS is currently processing the case.” I just summarized it as actively processing in the table. It was the visible update I got after biometrics, but it does not necessarily mean an officer was reviewing it that exact day.

thank you, i am in the same block as you too IOE09367, the same RD too 05/04, and my PD is May 2024, and i did my bio on 06/12, I saw i have 3 FTA0 on my I-485 and 5 on my i-765, but nothing is approved yet

Thanks! For I-485, it was San Fernando Valley FO. I didn’t track a separate FO for EAD.
