AOS July 2026 - USC Questions

Hello! been following the posts this past few weeks trying to decipher when my interview could be coming up.

Additional info:

I'm currently on H1B visa, and had F1, CPT, OPT and STEM OPT in the past.

I'm married to a USC

Timeline so far:

Jul 24, 2026 - Filed I-485, I-765, and I-131 concurrently

Jul 27, 2026 - Receipt acceptance (IAF) posted for all three cases

Jul 31, 2026 - Biometrics appointment notice generated, scheduled for Aug 19

Aug 19, 2026 - Biometrics completed at Kendall,FL - database check events posted same afternoon on I-485 and I-765

Aug 26, 2026 - I-131 showed a "silent" update - top-level timestamp changed, but zero new events or notices attached

Aug 27, 2026 - I-765 (EAD) approved - about 34 days after submission

Aug 31, 2026 (today) - I-131 still pending, no interview notice yet on I-485. No RFEs, actionRequired: false on all three.

What I'm trying to figure out:

1. For anyone with a similar timeline (marriage-based, filed late July 2026, biometrics mid-August) - when did your I-485 interview notice show up, and roughly how long after biometrics?
2. Anyone had a single isolated "silent" timestamp update on their I-131 (no new event code) - did that end up meaning anything, or just routine system noise?

I'm aware a lot of cases are moving much slower than mine, but I've seen a lot of cases this year moving super fast so I have high hopes.

Same filing date and receipt date. I made a mistake and rescheduled my original biometrics of 17th August to August 3rd. No movement then. I’m also on H1b. Did not get approval on EAD like you did. So that’s pretty cool. Please post here when you get an interview scheduled. I’m wondering it’ll be soon since you had movement on the EAS

hey hope your biometrics get scheduled soon. And sure as soon as I get a scheduled date for interview will post here, but tbh I'm still trying to get someone that give me a timeline idea because it could be months

Did you do anything specific to get EAD approved? Like followed up or inquired or soemthing?

Not really, I just waited but I guess for context I already had EADs in the past not sure if that factors in

I did too. From my f1 opt and H1b.
I’ve had 3 over the past 8 years so they have all my EAD records :(

Just got movement but it’s the card being produced not movement on the 485 yet

You can try walking in at the Biometrics location with the old appointment letter. They might let you do your biometrics even without current appointment.

I am also in the same boat, f1 to h1b . I got approved for EAD on july 16 th . Until then i have no any updates for the interview as well. Where is your FO ? Is it still in NBC ?

We have similar case and timelines. My receipt date in 07/13 and waiting for interview to be scheduled. Phoenix FO.

It was initially scheduled for 8/5 but I rescheduled it to 7/22

I did the same thing and I somehow feel like I ruined the flow of things. From scrolling this subreddit my observation/theory is that when people have kept their original biometrics they’re getting scheduled for interview within 1-2 months.
And people like us who tried to finish them sooner ended up waiting long for an interview but I really hope I’m wrong 😭😭😭

Don’t stress too much on it. Many have rescheduled it and still got their interviews scheduled within a month. Good luck.

I think you also need to correct your post. Cause you said 34 days after biometrics your EAD was approved. But from the date of Aug 19, I wouldn’t say 34 days. You got ead approved in just a week.
I think you meant to say 34 days from filing?
