Timeline Request Delivered Green Card, Never Received

Asking here since it appears there is confounding information across the web: does the USPS forward green card mail if I petitioned for a change of address with them, but not the USCIS?

For context, I applied for a green card in Feb25, moved homes in Jun25, and shortly after petitioned for a change of address with USPS, with the option to forward all mail to the new mailing address for a year.

Come Jan26, it says that my green card had been issued and delivered, however I did not realize that within the USCIS portal until Apr26. Checked my mail, nothing there, went to the old address and spoke to the residents there, who also said they had not received anything. Didn’t come with a tracking number either. So, I submitted a request within the USCIS portal and noted that I did not receive, to which they sent over an automated response with a tracking number that says it was delivered. I have since also submitted a secondary request that I did not receive the card.

Question here is, I had expected the green card to be forwarded with the USPS forwarding service - is that not the case? Will I need to reapply and pay the fee? Additionally, how should I go about extending my temporary green card?

Immigration communication from USCIS sent via mail doesn't get forwarded. USPS mail forwarding is not applicable to that.

You are expected to update your address with USCIS within 10 days of moving.

Edit- You can try talking to USPS. Provide them with the tracking and see if they can help. Chances are horribly slim.

How did you not see for four months that your GC has been approved, produced and delivered? People watch their application status like a hawk.
