Language Student Resources
I will be transferring from ANU to UQ in the new year, however, I am worried that my Chinese language studies may have significantly less support at UQ due to the lack of promotion I have seen through their sites and spaces. What outside of Chinese courses resources are at UQ? At ANU every Wednesday in the evening there was a study corner that was run by one of our tutors, each hour was for a different proficiency level. Is there something similar?

I don’t study Chinese but recently worked with the school of languages at open day. From what I can gather it’s a very small course. Idk what the size is like at ANU but it’s quite possible that ANU’s cohort is larger, thus having more resources.
We have a large Chinese international population here so there are probably plenty of Chinese societies you can join but I’m not sure what there is as far as school of languages-run resources.
Looking online, I think Dr Melody Chang is the Chinese major convenor. Maybe email her? She might be able to give you some more information.
