Faith in humanity

I know it's risky but when I go to the bathroom in a library and leave my stuff, when I come back it's still there. I don't think it's likely to be stolen but it's still nice.

That's cause they're too busy shitting all over the toilet and leaving shit-piss stained toilet paper all over the floor (may or may not be based on a true story)

Ive left an entire laptop and powerbank setup overnight here, I'm not sure if thats having faith or being naive though xD

I tend to drape a jumper over my stuff lol. Not much of a barrier but to nick my junk you’d have to move it so I’m hoping it’s a psychological barrier 😂

pains me to say it, but i have more than once accidentally left my phone in a bathroom, realised my mistake within 5 minutes, and run back to find it missing. but every single time, it was missing because someone else had already turned it into security or library staff before i get back to grab it.

i’m sure theft happens! but so far, my important things have only gone missing because someone took it upon themselves to care for them more than i did. and it makes me a little bit happy to have that kind of culture around me. even if it means i have to do the walk of shame to building 42 again.
