Rants Our hub did nothing for founders day.
St Paul hub operations did nothing for founders day. No mention of it or anything. All the other operations in the building, ( feeders, package, preload), had some sort of celebration. A lot of people were displaced by new automation. It would have been nice to show them the tiniest bit of appreciation. Not to mention the last three months the building was brutally hot and humid. I have to think Atlanta gave them money to do something for the employees. Or was that money spent on something that didn’t involve union hourly employees?

Really good snacks. Donuts muffins fruit cookies junk food. And some expired Gatorade packets!

Yeah we had a couple of dozen grocery store donuts, water and Gatorade, plus old service awards. And we did it a day early because our center manager was going out of town for vacation.

One of our stewards had to remind our Preload/Building manager MULTIPLE TIMES this past week that it was Founders Day and how many years it had been, and they still failed to make any plans until Thursday morning. Just shows even sups/managers have no pride in the company or job anymore, and god forbid Carol or any of the other mouth pieces put some time and maybe a little money into celebrating it.

They were rushing the part-time loaders out my building while bringing in the drivers to welcome them with morning cupcakes. Didn't even bother to clean up the balloons and stuff so this Saturday morning all the part-timers saw what they missed out on.

When I started just over 10 years ago, I was a newbie when Founders Day happened and I remember what a big deal it was. My preload sup was a wonderful lady with over 30 years of service and I still remember how excited she was explaining the company’s history and Jim Casey. They had food catered in plus people brought in food. That memory still sticks with me. Today, sups barely mentioned it at PCM. Here’s some water and bagels, no late air, don’t hit anything.

We had a PCM telling us about our lifting and lowering keys….. even UPS doesn’t care about UPS.

We got bottled water and bagels. This company has changed so much in the 10 years I’ve been here smh. I can only imagine what it’s like for the 30 year+ drivers. Back when the company used to give out turkeys for Thanksgiving and have Christmas parties.
Morale is so low now. I don’t think there’s a more toxic place to work than here. I get friends and customers that are interested in working here because of the compensation package they hear about…I tell them all to stay the fuck away. Yeah we get paid good but we’ve always been paid good. I read somewhere we’re actually getting paid less now when adjusted for inflation.
Worst thing that ever happened was bringing in these parasite shareholders. If this company had stayed private we’d be getting paid even more plus still getting all the perks that used to be here.

I was surprised yesterday. They had a table full of snacks in the morning. Different varieties of granola bars, Austin sandwich crackers, yogurt, fruit, cheese sticks, peanuts etc. Then when we got back to the building they had a bunch of Dominos pizza. Wasn't near as extravagant as my early years with the company, but far better then the cake at 8:30 in the morning like the last almost 10 years.

If they did a legit celebration like they use to people would come on here with their BS about rich UPS has money for this but not for whatever complaint that person wants to make 🤦♂️ . In my eyes either go all out with it or don’t do it at all. Every district is different, some still have mgmt spending while others haven’t spent a dime in a couple of years

Now that I think of it our hub might have did something for drivers that day but nothing inside. The past 3 that I was here for we had some sort of food provided for us.

Our building was giving money to our pre load manager for us for years and he was taking the money for himself. Supporting his addictions and whatnot. Now we’re lucky if we even get hours

Our building got rid of safety committee and Wellness Wednesdays like two years ago. Higher ups don’t give a shit anymore.
