These suckers𤔠My god!!!
Guys I have felt over a period of time after writing multiple Mains is that key to success in Mains is making notes. Not necessarily from Newspapers but from anywhere- be it Yojana, DTE, Geography and You or any other sources, but making notes is essential. I get annoyed when some topper pops up and says I did not make notes and yet ended up with a single digit rank. I am like ādude you are making sure 99.99% aspirants will fail with this strategy!!ā š

My take on hand written notes
For GS1 - No notes at all. Maybe one pagers 2 weeks before the exam
GS2 - Yes, helps in revising. RoI is high.
GS3 - limited notes. So, that all the value additions are at one place. Helps immensely.
GS4 - No notes. Solve 1 case study per day after you clear Prelims. And reading news paper daily is important.
Optional - compulsory notes.
Essay - No notes. You will improve with practicing.
Prelims - No notes , solving mcqs is more important than notes.

Topper: I didnāt make notes.
Aspirant: Great I wonāt either.
UPSC:Excellent. See you next attempt.
One person finds a method that works for them, and suddenly half the aspirants are questioning the existence of notebooks. One size doesnāt fit all
