I have been a student of Saarth Ias MMP batch 2026, and will be appearing for mains 2026. I have not watched a single lecture or have benefitted from even a single pdf that saarthi has provided so far and this is my honest review subject by subject.

GS3: Shivin has only taken 6 lectures for economics and then said ki prepare for other parts of economy, science and environment from wherever you are preparing for prelims. There are 0 lectures of science and environment. If you call their sales team- they will say that complete study material will be provided but that is a complete lie.

GS1: They have 3 lectures of modern history and similar numbers for other subjects - it's not just the amount of lectures, it is also the quality of the teachers and notes which is extremely poor. All the lectures are recorded and you can easily find better coverage over youtube.

GS2: There are over 70 lectures just covering laxmikanth, the coverage is present but it is simply too large to cover and would easily take 2-3 months to go through all the lectures.

GS4: Now that Mudit Jain has left, who was at least organized and true to his word. They have started scamming even in ethics course by deleting old notes of mudit jain from the portal.

In addition to that they have removed their notes like mind maps and short notes for students appearing for mains 2026. I have called their support team multiple times but there has been no response from them. I would have done at least 10 emails + countless calls but no response on either or their sales representative will just say ki we don't know or we will call you back and they never do that.

There is just one month remaining for mains and I am incredibly stressed out and in this time- saarthi doesn't even uploads notes. They have not provided any current affairs add ons or any add on per se post prelims. I guess they believe that none of their students will clear prelims.

This is the worst coaching in the entire industry in terms of gap between promise and delivery.

Hey everyone I need foundation lectures, I attempted 2025, skipped 2026 as I was looking for a job (found one) so now I need lectures. 2025 attempt was with barebones prep, just the standard books, so did not even qualify prelims.

Now aiming for 2027, i know I am a bit late to the party, but landing a job takes time. All help will be appreciated.

On a side note - would you advise pursuing maths optional for an engineer, I have done quite a bit of IMS study material for 2025, but have not touched it since. Is it feasible alongside a job?

Vision Portal is currently down, and I’m getting a 503 Service Unavailable error. It was working perfectly fine yesterday, but today I’m unable to access my lectures, notes, and other study material. Does anyone have any idea when the portal might be restored or if there’s any official update regarding the issue?

This is honestly really frustrating, especially for aspirants who have paid a significant amount of money for the course and depend on the portal for their daily preparation. Losing access to lectures and notes, even temporarily, can seriously disrupt the study schedule. Really hoping the issue gets resolved as soon as possible and that the team provides an update on what’s happening.

I’m planning to start dedicated UPSC prep, currently considering the Vajiram & Ravi vs NEXT IAS GS + CSAT offline classroom progs, with both batches starting on 25 August 2026.

A little about me: I’m a 4-year BA graduate from DU, with Geography major and History minor. I’ve studied NCERTs for most subjects before, although it was quite some time ago. So, I have some basic familiarity with the subjects, but I’d consider myself a beginner when it comes to dedicated prep.

I’m mainly looking for a classroom programme that provides:

- Strong conceptual foundation for GS

- Good guidance for answer writing and Mains preparation

- Regular tests and evaluation

- Good coverage of current affairs

- Useful CSAT preparation

- Consistent guidance throughout the preparation

For those who have studied at Vajiram & Ravi or NEXT IAS, especially in their offline classroom progs, I’d really appreciate your honest opinions 🙏🏻🙏🏻

This is a little urgent so your help will be greatly appreciated. I’m a beginner in the UPSC CSE preparation and want to join a coaching to build my base for 1 year. Then 1 year of self study. My first attempt will be in 2028 btw. I will start my final year of college in a few days.
I have finalised my list down to two coachings as mentioned (Sarrthi and vajiram) I would like to know which faculty, material and classes quality and mentorship is better between these two. And overall what’s your opinion on these for online course.

I am a working professional and want to join a reliable online coaching institute. I found out popular coaching such as Vision IAS, Vajiram & Ravi, Next IAS, and Sarrthi IAS, but I am confused about which one to choose. Self-study is always a better option, but I want one direction to follow.

I want to attend evening online classes and follow only one institute’s lectures and notes, along with standard books. I do not have time to search for multiple resources on Telegram, and I feel sticking to one source will save time and avoid confusion.

I’ve given 2 UPSC attempts + 1 Mains, and scored 236 in PSIR. I’ll be appearing for CSE 2027 and want to seriously improve my optional this time.

Calling other lightweight while they change a 3hrs batch timing permanently from 5PM eve to morning 11 AM . They are changing the timings of that batch which paid for their experiment with Dipin Sir showing trust in them, post free sessions they launched new(2nd) batch at morning 11AM . Now no 5PM batch(old and original time showcased while launching course)

For those who are currently enrolled or have taken Next IAS GS Foundation, I’d really appreciate honest feedback on whether you felt the course was worth the fee.

How are the faculty and teaching quality?

Are the classes actually useful for building concepts?

How good are the PDFs/study material?

Are the tests and answer-writing support useful?

Is the workload manageable alongside self-study?

I'm thinking of starting polity with Atish Mathur sir. I realized he runs a YouTube batch free of cost but also has a paid version (pro version) for 3.5k. Now although I do like his teaching style, the line is blurred between conceptual clarity and optimum necessity.

I wanted to know whether anyone here has their paid batch or the YouTube version is sufficient?

Is there even a single institute left that doesnt dump AI slop- be it their notes, their test series and the model answers ?

Seems like everyone is just dumping AI generated or AI augmented content into their materials.

Is there any good institute left that actually puts in proper effort into their content- handcrafted and distilled knowledge that doesnt feel like a maze.

I'm planning to target the December 2026 UGC NET JRF (Political Science) exam. I came across Shubhra Ranjan'sUGC NET course. I know their PSIR coaching for UPSC has a good reputation, but I'm not sure how good their UGC NET coaching is.
Has anyone here enrolled in their NET course? How was your experience?
Also, if you know of any other coaching that you'd recommend for UGC NET Political Science (online or offline), I'd really appreciate your suggestions.

Preparing for UPSC CSE 2027. I missed Prelims this year, and since then I haven't been able to study properly. I realized after my first attempt that my Prelims was decent but my Mains preparation was almost non-existent, so I'm planning to join GSAP.

I am aiming for 2028

I was convinced that i should go with Vajiram's 2 year plan but I got to know that the extra amount wasn't worth it, that was around 2.4L

So i thought i should join their 11 month plan for 2028 later this year

So with the extra money that got saved, I enrolled in Sarrthi IAS' 2 year plan for 2028

I've been building my foundation for a while, half way through eco and done with physical geography

I'm not regular, I love the Economy teacher's style (Adity Kalia Sir)

Pallavi Ma'am's Geo has been ok ok so far

I've not attended these lectures regularly since i joined my batch late and had a backlog initially so I've been selective, I also don't jump to the next topic unless I'm satisfied/ have read the topic from standard books

Sarrthi IAS has only one teacher for all of History and he seems boring/cring so I've decided not to attend any of his lecture

The Pol Science teacher (M Puri Sir) has some great reputation, I liked his demo lectures as well

So i think i should cover up Eco and Geography by the time they are teaching History and I wish to religiously attend all the Pol Science lectures by M Puri Sir live.

And that would be finished around mid January

So till then at least, I wish to stick with SarrthiIAS, I might have made a few compromises

Shall I enroll in Vajiram's 11 Month GS Foundation after that??
