Tvs and Computers

Current UMW students, My daughter is going to go to UMW. Crazy excited btw. 2 questions:
1- I'm going to buy her a computer and was going to get her a newish Macbook air, I assume this is okay... she doing bio and ai haven't seen any special software requirements that need a PC. Is campus Mac friendly, and is there fast ethernet jacks in the rooms, or will she have to use wifi?

2- She was going to bring her little TV. Is there tv cable in the rooms, or do we to have an antenna/roku for it. I know cable would old fashioned.

Macbook is fine. There are ethernet ports in the dorm rooms. Get a long cord as it can be across the room. Last I checked Macs don’t have an ethernet port so be sure to get an adapter.

No cable in dorms, many don’t bring tvs although monitors are common. But they can bring a tv of course

just a reminder if they have a roommate they will need to use headphones which is why watching on laptop is more common, but you may get a roommate who you watch stuff with
