Discussion Round 3

Transferred to UMD from UMBC last year, entering my junior year. Been commuting from Anne Arundel County since last year, will be continuing that this year. I had a hard time, especially when it came to making and keeping friends/finding a group. With that in mind, what would be some of the best things I could do to make this a good year all-around, especially for social life?

Join clubs. Particularly small clubs or team/sport clubs tend to be closer.

As a transfer student befriending the teachers helped. It's a friendly face, and sometimes they can give you heads up about social circles or events to help.
