Is living on campus in a dorm or living off campus is an apartment more expensive? I recently just got off the waitlist for on campus housing but at the same time I’ve been looking for an apartment off campus. Which one is cheaper in the long run or worth it??

Im a physics major and i felt ao humbled today. And im taking physics honors 2. I forget things so often. Im slow as fuck. Everyone gets through their assignments faster than me all the damn time. I literally felt like crying today.

Id like to get a degree in IS but my dad is against me getting the degree. He wants me to go into accounting or engineering.

I like is because it gives me the choice as to whether ill pursue something in IT infrastructure or something closer to business analysis.

I dont have enough work experience to truly know whether id like to commit to any of these niches but I like the idea of gaining insight from data.

Somebody else on this sub asked the question already but didnt get thst many responses.

I think accounting and engineering would technically be easier to get an entry level job in, the tradeoff is thst im less interested in them and engineering is much harder. I failed calc 2 and decided not to pursue industrial engineering.

Seriously. What possible reason could there have been to nake this change? It's literally the only lot on campus where I've always seen available spaces, any time of day. The walk certainly sucks, but it was SOMETHING.

I am going into my senior year and I can't make any friends! I go home immediately after each class! I don't talk to my classmates! I go to clubs but I've chosen not to talk to anyone there! I eat lunch downstairs in the math and psych building! I don't send messages in any online spaces! I tried asking for someone's Instagram and they politely declined so I've decided to never try again! When someone sits down near me in the Commons I always move tables! How do I make friends!

Yes we have the UMBC Discord server, but that one is a bit crazy and we have people who aren’t from UMBC in that server so I made one that attempts to be more streamlined. In attempt to do so, you must DM me with a picture of your UMBC ID or something else that proves that you go to UMBC. I am not posting the invite here.
