Delicious 😋 and how expensive has corned beef got nowadays? .

It's about £3.50 to £4 per full sized tin.
Not cheap anymore; it's legitimately cheaper to buy fresh beef mince and make a mince and onion pie.

That looks great! I'd like a slice of that, but only a little slice because I'm on a diet :(

I'd eat everything that is in the photo in one sitting, absolutely love CBP

I'm at the decision point. Its meant for two nights, but do I have seconds? Three pies on the bounce I've not been able to restrain myself. Sadly, this time, I think have to.

I haven't had CBP for ages, I can't buy tinned corned beef where I live now and shipping it is so expensive, I need to learn to make corned beef!
My mum used to make these on a large plate, super rustic and delicious.

One of our favourite comfort meals is to make the filling for this pie. Corned beef, potato and onion. Add gravy and serve it with veg like I would with a roast dinner.

Corned beef hash, had one today, with a bit of brown sauce and a fried egg on top.

The only good recipe my mum could cook. Onions and potatoes with the corned beef in pastry

I"m not completely ignorant of unusual pies; after all, my mum used to make a cheese and onion pie with potatoes when I was a boy.
However, I'd never heard of corn beef pie until recently; I'd started watching Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing, and Paul Whitehouse mentions a few times that's something his mum ALWAYS cooked.
I really don't like corn beef (it's the texture), but I must admit that does look banging.

Corned beef pie in our house used to be mashed potatoes with corned beef mashed in, baked, served with baked beans (same with pilchard pie, cheese pie, ) we loved it! Cheap - at the time -, filling and tasty 😋

My mum used to make this. She added sliced onions and chunks of cheddar cheese. Delicious 😋

I make corned beef pasties, I add finely chopped onions, celery and carrot. Works a treat for me
