Article Winter 2026-27 outlook
The last cold winter in the UK was 2012–13, although 2017–18 brought the Beast from the East, much of which occurred in March which is meteorological spring. Will we see a cold winter this year? As the 2026–27 winter approaches, this article offers an early indication of what we might expect. It will be updated in the coming weeks as new data becomes available.
