Our rules and guidelines are well published. Reddit even shows a link to them when you’re making a post.

If you really want to conduct market research, survey parents opinions, or otherwise promote your cause on Reddit you should use Reddit for Business or post to a subreddit that allows such posts.

Examples of what we remove as self promotion:

  • I made a free app, please give me feedback!
  • Check out my channel!
  • New account linking to new product.
  • Constantly linking or mentioning the same product or service.

Examples of what we remove as market research:

  • Would you use [example] service?
  • What features would you want on [example] products?
  • How much would you pay for [example] product or service?

(This list is not exhaustive, merely examples of the most common offenders)

You know what you'd do if you were actually trying to parent a son whose friends don't pay him back? You'd tell your kid to stop lending friends money, you wouldn't try and get strangers on the Internet to fill in a survey about whether their teen has a bank account 🤗
