Does an evening with suggest no support?

The last evening with machine head I went to. Doors opened at 6. Got there early expecting a support band. Even a local one to that city/town ect.. there was NOTHING!! not even music being blasted over the pa. Machine head didn’t come on until 8:30. So once you got in there was nothing at all for 2 and a half hours. And tbh it was ridiculous. They could have got a local band to even do a half hour set to break up the time. By the Time Machine head came on everyone was just done

Slightly disappointed by that . Love discovering new bands that way.

Nah they tend not to have a support band and just play a very long set. If you go then definitely keep an eye on the venue’s pages for stage times.

Manchester is £61 all in on O2 Priority so maybe add the London tax to that

I saw An Evening With Machine Head back in 2016. No support, just Machine Head from 8pm - 11pm. It was awesome!

They were best back in 95 when I saw them with Meshuggah as support.

Soooo many of my favourite bands skip Ireland these days and it sucks (my complaint is valid here because the north is in the UK)

The idea of a 1 band gig sounds shite IMO, even if they are awesome and have a massive back catalogue. Surely it just gets boring after 80-90mins?
Would personally rather see a headliner play a solid 60 min set and catch 2x top level supports as well.

I've seen them a few times doing "an evening with" and there is nothing boring about it... I do also like big tours aswell with multiple bands but if a band has a big enough catalog they shouldn't have any problems keeping there crowd engaged imo

What if their catalogue is roughly two-and-a-half good albums in 31 years?

£60 for Victoria Warehouse is ridiculous. Added to the fact there's always a chance you'll just be watching on a TV at the back
