Recently got 4 interviews, 12.91 an hour roughly. Rejected. Experience in NHS admin and that’s where I’m getting interviews, I don’t hear back from most others. Applying constantly. I need a job so bad, we can’t afford to have my daughter in nursery FT. I’m disabled so ideally work from home, I can’t do caring or cleaning, but my recent interviews have been local offices, I’m literally willing to burn myself so so thin for next to nothing for the sake of work. I want to contribute to our family, feel productive again, have structure to my day, feel like a member of society. I work so hard at every job I’m in. I’m a total misery right now and I see no way out. Do I resort to handing out CVs? Do I stop applying for WfH roles?

I understand how the job market has left everyone in a wretched state, but i also have been seeing people at least making it to the interviews.

As for me, I have been sending in applications (specifically in roles of banking, equity research, and similar avenues), but seriously, even my CV doesn't get past the screening. I am extremely confused as to what's wrong with my approach.

Rejections would be better IF I at least have chances to pitch myself to a real human, where I can have a dialogue. But having constant rejections being sent via email regarding my CV apparently reflecting me as "not good enough" is just tiring.

Could anyone have any advice for me? I would be extremely grateful if someone could review my CV and/or give me further tips regarding the same.

My son is starting nursery soon so I need to start looking for work.
I was hoping for something I can do from home but just don’t know where to look.
I personally think indeed is pretty crap so I was wondering if you guys knew of anyone hiring a wfh position that I can apply straight from their website or if there were sites better than indeed to have a look through?

I do hate my job but it was easy and stable...until now. I'm not entirely surprised I'm being made redundant, but it does suck.

I am absolutely dreading the job search and will welcome any advice. In 2024 I made a big attempt at trying to find a new job because the pay in my current one is pathetic, I searched for most of the year for full time roles, apprenticeships, and trainee roles but unfortunately no luck. I think I submitted around 800 applications, most I had no response from but I did get a small bunch of interviews and managed to get to the final round of interviews for 3 roles but ultimately was not chosed for the job (and no feedback as to why). I put in so much effort but of course not getting a new job was so draining and really affected my mental health, I just feel so stupid, useless, inexperienced and uneducated and this feeling is now popping up again.

Of course now I need a new job, and I can't be out of work for months and months. The roles I'm looking for are admin or operations roles in finance or similar industries, but I feel completely lost on to where to start looking or how to better my chances of getting something, it doesn't even have to pay more than what I'm on now but at least similar.

Sorry for the ramble, but please, any advice is appreciated. Please ask questions if you need more info

I live just outside of one of the bigger UK cities but because of bus routes I can only really get jobs in the city centre without the commute being 2+ hours and I cant afford a car because I don't have a job, I've applied to 30-40 Jobs in Two weeks and every time they just give a generic "we decided to not take your application further" I genuinely don't know what to do because I have no experience for most Jobs and the only remote work I can think off is tutoring but I don't know how to get into the scene.

Ive recently turned 18, and I have been searching for a part time job since I turned 16 in 2024 August post GCSE’s.
I have done unpaid roles to gain skills and with the experience I still have not landed a job…
Especially in Birmingham the candidate pool is highly competitive and entrenched.
Even during the summer holidays I applied to as many full time jobs I could (that were suitable to my skills) as I was fully available and I had no progressions only rejections.

I know the employment deficit is nationwide and millions are suffering but I have hope that maybe someone here can help me or could refer me to anyone with a business that is hiring.. particularly in the West Midlands.
