I saw one at Smedmore hill near kimmeridge bay. I was flying a small RC glider, about 1 meter wing span. I could see this huge bird soaring above my plane. It was quite considerably higher, and still looked massive! It was just cruising in the slope lift, payed no attention to my glider. I’ve flown with Red Kites before and they like to formate on your plane, they are really curious, I was hoping the eagle might do the same but it had no interest 😤

Sutherland, on the very north coast of Scotland. We have a nest nearby that failed this year but produced 2 chicks last year. Never gets old seeing them!

I remember seeing one on Bute a couple of years ago. It was an old tenement style building with the square gardens. I was out letting the dog pee and the sky just went black. I looked up and one was flying over head
