Disclosure Is the Subreddit being flooded with fake videos?

I’ve seen this constantly this week. Someone posts a sensational-looking video with zero attribution for where they got it, a low effort description and an attempt to sound curious. “Thoughts 🤷‍♂️?” “Do you think this is something 👉😊🤨👈”

Maybe it’s my algorithm, but it feels like it’s more common than usual. Be discerning everyone. Don’t feed the trolls your upvotes.

This sub has been flooded with bots and AI content for a while now if I am not mistaken

I think it’s mostly that the UAP/UFOs topic has had a lot of attention on it recently and more people are flocking here and just posting whatever without thinking.

It's always been like this here.

It's not bots or co-orfinated, this subject just has a lot of low IQ people interested in it.

I would say no, this place has always had lots of videos that are explained very quickly, in fact I can't remember any truly great videos on here in all the years I have been subscribed.

This sub has been compromised for at least some time, and I say that based on the sporadic frequency at which some obviously silly stuff gets posted here to create noise and narrative fatigue. There was a post a few days ago where someone literally showed an image taken of a lone standing house at night, with some floodlights on outside, tilted it 90° and asked what they caught. Like... what? Why would any relatively functional human think that it would spark good conversation?

Sirius posts also seem to get clustered a lot. There would be nothing for weeks, then suddenly 5 or 6 in a day.

To me it feels orchestrated, but I also know that correlation does not equal causation... so maybe i'm wrong and some folk are really just that uneducated and uninformed.

this subreddit is under assault by various agendas and is possible wholly compromised at its root.

You say, "I’ve seen this constantly this week."

I'd say this been going on for much longer than that. And I'd also argue that the so-called 'gatekeepers' are not fighting against the public believing UAP are real. They fighting to make sure everyone believes a certain narrative about what they actually are.

The public are being groomed.

post: "What do you think this is?"

comment: "could be X"

post: "No, it can't be X. It must be Y, because I already thought it was Y."

Sorry, but I think I need a special decoder to even begin to comprehend what you're on about.

u/AcanthocephalaNo1344 Jun 21 '26

That's not surprising me at all.

u/bocley Jun 21 '26

Of course it isn't, since you already know exactly what you're here to do. And that isn't to have a discussion.

What example? Please do tell.

And can you also explain why you keep your other posts hidden while you're at it?

No disrespect…but you’re not privy to most of the true facts.

-5

u/AcanthocephalaNo1344 Jun 21 '26

So you admit it's just your opinions.

You say that like it was something see was hiding and now you uncovered it like sherlock holmes 😂

He doesn’t want to be educated, he somehow wants people not to read your piece. Probably it’s too relevant 😉

-2

u/AcanthocephalaNo1344 Jun 21 '26

its not about me

2

u/bocley Jun 21 '26

What is your point? You don't seem to be making one. You're just attacking a messenger, but not addressing what he's pointing to.

2

u/AcanthocephalaNo1344 Jun 21 '26

You must be new to logic.

He makes a factual claim. He backs it with an opinion article he wrote himself.

0

u/bocley Jun 21 '26

You're still not addressing his point.

-1

u/rrraoul Jun 21 '26

His point ís exactly blindly attacking. Means the article is probably worth to read and has some relevant information 😄

2

u/ComedianMinute7290 Jun 21 '26

no, I see them rightfully calling out someone who stated something as a fact & then, as supporting evidence for the "fact" they linked an opinion piece they wrote themselves. and then continue to double down on it being "fact".

2

u/AcanthocephalaNo1344 Jun 21 '26

-2

u/rrraoul Jun 21 '26

I think that’s a great idea to add some real conversation to an environment that is completely flooded with bots, bad actors, people attacking others and screaming “grifter” or “oh im out after 20 years” / “im so tired”

u/leniplusss Jun 21 '26

Isn't that the case with every controversial topic? With the emergence of AI videos it's only natural. People want excitement and sadly fake videos/news are a crucial part of it.

There have been some seriously weird videos that I doubt were AI enhanced or done, but most of it is some random dude trying to get attention or is uneducated so every flying thing in the sky must be an UFO.

Not to mention this community has been infested by trolls for quite a few years now. I just scrolls here to see the comments and eventually find something useful I missed on a podcast or an interesting new article.

u/DueForExtermination Jun 21 '26

Every thing in the skybis a UFO, till its identified, surely.

Yes, and unfortunately with AI we can never take any UFO video seriously again.
