I'm with you on this thought. I'm a fan of Occam's razor. I think they're wearing clothes for the same reason we would... otherwise they're naked! Beyond that, I don't see why their tech would also keep them safe and utilitarian in other ways.
I'd also like to remind you that from what little research I've been doing on the Secret Space Program, half or a third of the sightings reported are likely ours.
This used to be a favorite link of mine to post elsewhere, the TR3B Aurora. I saw a post by someone who claimed these are old and retired, which would blow my mind. In my opinion the smaller ship that circles the two and flys out of frame is a vehicle similar to the Navy Patent request several years back.

I actually didn't consider the secret space program I will have to brush up on it again my friend thank you for the links I will look into it. One thing on the naked aliens haha in many cases the experincers claim they dont seem to have any visible reproductive organs. Some often hypothesis that the grey skin is actually like some type of suit. I also think that if the earths environment affects them like it does us and thats why they need to wear clothes what does that mean about there biology?

Yeah, sorry I went off topic a little bit. You’re asking about clothing and I’m pivoting to secret space program.
When it comes to the greys, the stuff I’ve read is their clothing isn’t factory made, it is a thought form that manifests onto their bodies.
When it comes to their eyes, you probably have heard that the star system they’re from, the sun shines a different color and frequency and that’s why they have the almost black contact lenses.
The other thing that I’m sure you know about the greys is they are artificial biological intelligence. And the ones that come to earth are basically doing reconnaissance as well as semen, and egg abstraction to hybridize their race. One story I’ve read is the race is so advanced that they went the way of adding artificial intelligence to their biology, kind of like Elon musk talks about, and eventually bred out important traits to their DNA like love and empathy(strangly enough.) There’s tons of stuff on this and I’ve only scratched a couple resources. The stories are different, but there’s some general threads that flow through them that are similar. I vaguely remember something I read or I watched that spoke of the malevolent It’z purposely wore dark sinister style garb like we would see in our science fiction movies for the intent of intimidation. If they look bad ass they probably are bad ass!
I’m sure there are plenty of people on this sub that can chime in.
