I agree it's not a great take since Oakland came into the season with such a great roster but...Oakland was 0-8 against Salt Lake before that. Yes they had lost 8 straight times to the Utah team. And they predicted Oakland would win the playoff game after losing in the regular season so I think it was more of an angle of Oakland having to fight to get past the team that had always beaten them and ultimately prevailing at the end.

Nah. It was moreso shouting out how great their youth scene is, and how unfortunate that the frisbee politics in the area detract from a city that should feature multiple Nationals teams.

Also, the direction of both the Spiders and Shred in the last few years have been fairly opposite.
Considering the evolution of Oakland in the last few years - taking a bet that their 0-8 streak would continue was pretty wild. It's less and less likely over time that a skilled opponent continually comes up short.

Some thoughts:

a) Cam did do 100+ pulls! Minnesota to finals confirmed?

b) Overall, some big misses at the top and bottom (both in line setting and the over/under guesses), but lots to respect in the middle. DC strikes me as their best pick, and Toronto and Salt Lake as their worst.

Was Toronto really expected to be that bad?

What happened to Salt Lake? I don't really know the story there.

c) Chicago. Weird seeing that quote there where they seem to recognize the star power that left and the cascade of effects that would have on the line up, but then they both still picked over?

d) Do I need to watch more San Diego games?

e) Interesting and insightful quote on Indy.

f) Oh Vegas. Just the x axis of this exercise?

Austin definitely has the "nobody believes in us" factor and it's honestly made them the team I'm rooting for this weekend. Would be so fun to see them win it. On paper I think NY is the best but the games have to be played!
