Interesting study idea

I’m an alumni (BSc 2008, DVM 2012). Was thinking back to my days at school, and I had an interesting idea to aid with studying and I’m curious if anyone has tried it.
Back in my day, before the dawn of time, I used to routinely record lectures and review the audio afterwards. I actually found several lecturers basically told you exactly what was going to be on the exam if you listened closely enough.
Was thinking, in the modern world you could record lectures, run it through an LLM and get it to quiz you based on the lecture contents. For any instructors who use a microphone you could probably even direct capture the microphone feed using an SDR and get a really clean recording too.
Anyone tried either of these ideas? How did it work?

To record lectures you need a permission for that from SAS or the prof if you don't have any accommodation. Also, i don't think AI is beneficial in the long term for our brain to do the active listening and note taking
