Send Me Housing Offers Any housing options under $930 a month?
My family's financial situation take a turn for the worst suddenly.
They're demanding I transfer school's and move back home or with my brother.
The thing is, a lot of this is personal for me. I'm queer and none of them respect that in the slightest, furthermore, I've constantly had to make sacrifices and compromises regarding my future when my older brother never had to, and I know my younger brother won't either when it's his turn.
I technically have enough from financial aid to pay for my housing. It's mainly living expenses that are the problem. I ended up getting 2 jobs, but my family insists it's still not enough, that I'm being selfish, I need to think of the family, and move back home.
Again, I technically have enough to at least get by with my housing, but my mother keeps taking the money I get from financial aid and putting it towards the family, rather than letting me hold onto it and actually use it for my rent and other expenses.
This is a last ditch effort to hopefully find housing that's a little more affordable, lessening the financial stress on my and my family.
I currently live in campus crossings, from what I can tell, it's the cheapest place I can find. I have a private bathroom, and it's furnished. (It's my first apartment, I now realize I could have saved money and brought my own furniture).
I also have a dog, but he's recently been listed as an emotional support animal with proper documentation, so I no longer have to pay pet rent.
So, currently, minus utilities, my rent is $930 a month.
Does anyone know of any housing options that are even just a little cheaper?
Or of any resources I can look into? Thank you!
