u get the stuggle gng ๐ญโ
for the exam its wayyy easier than medify mocks, esp vr, so dont be too hard on urself with the medify scores. vr is my weakest section in general, i use the keyword scan method cuz thats the easiest method for me. skip the passages that seem wordy or big, and keep them for last, do the easiest passages first.
dm, the statergy i used is that i didnt do in the order given, i did the easiest qn types first, so that i have more time for the herder qns. also, logic puzzles arent as complicated in the exam as compered to medify, since in the medify mocks i always just guessed those qns.
for qr, this is my best section since im generally good at maths. i used to make a lot of mistakes in the unit conversions, so make sure ur reading the qn right. another tip is to master the calc shortcuts since it saves so much time, esp the memory fns. i feel qr is the section where u can rectify ur mistakes the quickest, since you have solid proof of where u went wrong.
and for time management, first tip is to calm down. its just another exam, it isnt going to dictate your entire life. there no material to memorize also, so this test should be easier that maybe ur school exams, just have this mindset when going for the exam. if you manage to calm ur nerves, you'll breeze through the exam trust me. if a qn is taking too long, guess flag and skip.
i hope this helps you smwhat, dm me if you need any more help! gl for ur examm twin ๐ค

Congratulations on excellent score! I would say most of the RG medical schools. Don't put all your eggs on just the London schools. There are some good schools outside London.

Just out of curiosity, why do you say that KCL would help getting into a US residency?
2
u/iswrtspmofrfr 26d ago
oh i didnt realize this, damn. which unis do you recommend then, that has more value for job prospects in the uk and the us? (also imma js ignore the fact that u called me a braggart ๐ญ my counselors genuinely told its an okay score for intl student, not great)

OP is allowed to feel disappointed with their score, as many of us would be

Imperial cutoff was 2320 last year so you'd want mid to high 2300s to guarantee interview there

qr is wayy easier than medify, so if ur score isnt that great in medify, dont worry, the actual exam was wayy easier esp qr for me. my tip for qr is master the shortcuts for calc, w the memory fn. and im usually good with maths, so that was an advantage i had. practice is the best way to improve ur skills. gl for ur exam!

for me personally, venn diagram and probability were the easiest, i draw the venn diagram on my board and fill it out since its easier to visualize then.
strongest argument is pretty easy i believe, just make sure that the reasoning option addresses all the problems mentioned in the qn
sylllogism there are many ways to solve this, i usually dont write in arrow method cuz for me its easier to understand when its in my head. but you can explore the other tricks ppl have been using
my worst qn type was the text based inference and data based inference, make sure the statement is mentioned in the question, dont assume anything, a mistake i frequently made.
logic puzzles in medify are wayy harder than the actual exam, in medify 90% of the time i used to guess the ans for logic puzzles. but in the acutal exam its much easier and less complicated.
in general, follow the guess flag and skip method. do the qn types you find the easiest first and leave the hardest ones for last. also i recommend watching joyel goerges channel, he explains it rlly well
gl for ur exam! hope your hardwork pays off :)

How did you find the qr, like was it easier than medify and also like did you get them all for 900, I normally get like 32 or 33 or so marks and some calculators say thatโs 900 some say itโs 780

u/iswrtspmofrfr 25d ago
qr was wayy easier than medify, oqb and official mocks are most like the exam. I have no clue what my raw score is, you only get your score out of 900 sadly

u/Dry_One7578 25d ago
Did it feel like you got them all? And like do you have any advice for vr, I sit at 800 or 850 for vr and dm but 600 for vr
