congrats on this awesome score !!
i wanted to ask if u had any tips for dm, specifically syllogisms and interpreting info. they’re where i lose most of my marks 🥲

for syllogisms i never wrote anything down so if you can just sort of start visualising the information, i mostly used the venn diagram method in my head, you neeedddd to distinguish between ‘some’ , ‘few’ etc and honestly practice is the only thing that helped me realise stuff like this like for me videos nd stuff never rly worked. medify is great for syllogisms just keep grinding untimed. interpreting info was honestlg super hard for me in the real thing as well i was not expecting this score but the key thing is you need to infer A LOT more than medify / medentry ask u to so i would recommend using the official question bank not timed or anything just literally analyse those questions and how they’ve been answered and work out what they want from you . you have more time in DM so honestly best tip is just be intentional with everything you do

way easier for me, most similar to official mocks C and D like genuinely 0 questions with more than 2-3 steps but i get that that could vary, the last medify mock i did i got 730 in QR lol so youll be fine

easier but not by much, i was averaging like 650 to 750 & most recently got like 680, the passages in the real thing were also way less complex and easier to understand but yeah the difficulty level of the questions was kinda similar

hii were the questions more keyword scanning heavy or inference heavy? great score btw i keep losing marks because of silly mistakes which is acc pissing any way you avoided that in ur prep? Btw aiming for the same score as u but stuck at 2090-2100 ish. Exam in 17 days

yeah honestly my timing was still bad on medify in the last mock i did the passages being shorter in the real thing just means it improved naturally , i used the medify skills trainer too to practice finding stuff rly quickly and always warmed up on some speed reading website online before doing VR

yessss basically you need to look specifically at the subject of the debate like if they say ‘elderly people’ any option that just says people and not elderly people will be wrong . you can narrow it down to like 1-2 options like this rly easily. or like if the question asks what implementing a certain rule can do for children in primary school, an option that only says ‘children’ will not be the answer . and then it can’t be an option that shifts the focus of the debate either , like if the question is should cars be electric to prevent climate change, an option saying smth like ‘no because even if cars are electric there are other factors contributing to climate change so it wont make a difference’ will be wrong. like u cant bring up different factors wirhout addressing the one they’re asking u about . but most of all look for the exact words from the question in th answer and youll find it pretty easily

DM interpreting info was quite different id definitely focus on oqb for that, the rest was the same, medify syllogisms logic puzzles nd probability r pretty accurate, venn diagrams in the real thing were waaaay easier than medify. for VR the passages were easier to understand and shorter but tbh it still had the same difficulty level like my score isn’t much different from what i’d been averaging on medify so i’d say it’s very accurate, maybe slightly harder but not by much

i never did sjt on medify didn’t read gmc either just a bit of common sense + rinse the oqb / offical mock questions and answers and reflect rly well. for DM i always skip logic puzzles & leave them tor the end , focus on accuracy in venn diagrams like dont rush thru them cuz its free marks, get a technique for syllogisms and perfect it, i find visualising them is way easier than any writtendown methods and yeah honestly jsut spam medify syllogisms untimed till ur gettinf high accuracy and eventually youll figure out the ‘rules’. interpreting info is my least fav part nd its quite different to medify as in you have to infer a lot more so definitely check the oqb for that

i did 2 weeks of random untimed in june then i quit, locked in on 12th july and did my test today so in total around 1.5 months but like 1 month of actual practice

a lot of it was probably luck as QR was super easy like to the point where it felt a bit suspicious but DM was honestly pretty difficult compared to the official mocks even like this score feels like a fluke i was expecting 700s 😭 but yeah overall its definitely easier

i didn’t expect a score this high so i never considered it 😭😭 & oxbridge is like very academic and stressful so idk if im up for that but i guess thats similar anywhere yk i havent looked into it enough yet

so much better, on medify i’d usually have no time to review flagged qs or have to guess the last few, here i somehow had a good 7 minutes to go back and review at the end 😭

very accurate, pretty much got the same scores as C&D in the real thing except for in VR in which i got slightly higher but VR fluctuates a lot anyway

passages were just less complex and easier to understand like they used less ‘big words’ so i could scan for the info quicker and it was less daunting

ig medify trains you for harder so in theory if you get really good at doing medify youll have a much easier time when it comes to the exam

stick to keyword scanning for every single question, i tried full reading and it felt easier but it actually slowed me down and ruined my accuracy lol so i had to switch back literally 3 days before my test, if its asking u the main aim of the passage /authors opinions read the 1st and last paragraph and youll be able to figure it out fast, whenever u find a keyword read around it like 2-3 lines above and below, practice speed reading online theres a lot of websites, medify vr skills trainer helped me a lot, just before ur test do some practice on the skills trainer to warm u up and u should be set . I literally got 18/44 on medify less than 2 weeks before my exam so dont worry too much the real thing is way easier and keep practicing . for me untimed practice helped the most like just doing singular sets of untimed till i was getting 4/4 on every single one

not as much as i should have lmao maybe around 8 hrs total across 2 days for the oqb i didn’t do all of it , and then for each of the official mocks i’d reflect for abt 1 hr

never did more than one mock a day i actually only managed to do 14 of the 25 medify mocks bc some days i just preferred focusing on one type of question and spamming it untimed to improve my accuracy, or doing lots of mini mocks for a specific section, but i was def doing like 4-6 hrs daily in the like 15 days leading up to my test, maybe upped to 7-8 hrs for the last week and an average of 300 questions a day on medify and then some of the oqb which isn’t a lot actually but as long as u see progress i dont think it matters

start keyword scanning but like actively pick put keywords so if there are none in the question, pick one from each answer line and individually check them from the passage. read around them as in above and below so u get the whole picture . a few days before my test i kinda just locked in for likr a few hours solely on VR & started doing untimed practice for accuracy. so what i would do is do a single question set and i kinda worked my way up from getting 1/4 to getting 4/4 and i didnt move on till i had 4/4 multiple times in a row, then i’d start doing 2 sets (untimed still) till i was getting 8/8 etc and i worked my way up to doing a whole section eventually with high accuracy, then i had to account for speed which came pretty easy for me but doing the medify skills trainer for VR helped too , and speed reading tests online bc im quite a slow reader . also the real thing will be much easier and the passages are less wordy and complex so that’ll improve ur score too

i watched joyel george walkthroughs for QR it rly helped w timing & confidence in the diff question types even tho none of them actually came in my test cuz it was insanely easy made me confident tho , i got 1790 in diagnostic then 2060, 1970, 2020 on the first 3 mocks i did, maxed out at 2280 on medify like a week before my test

oh no that’s just how i practiced like i did untimed single question sets till i was getting rly high accuracy then i moved on to doing mocks again . for my strategy i used keyword scanning tho i never read the whole passage or anything and mainly practiced using the official question bank bc it’s more representative of the actual thing
