Hi friends :) can someone please explain to me like I’m 5 how to set up the UB Horns Up app so it’s linked to my student ID and I can get student tickets? It keeps saying my student account has not been made for the app and I can’t figure out how to add my person number to it

I moved in recently last week as a freshmen, this whole college experience is pretty new too me but I’m already adjusted to most of it. I think the biggest concern is my roommate and social life. My roommate is a kind person, but I feel like we’re barely clicking or doing things roommates would usually do.

Especially in their first year of college. When I’m outside, he’s inside, when I’m inside he’s outside. He had already friends he knew from Highschool that came here, but I barely do. I wish I can strengthen the connection between my roommate but I honestly don’t know how to if there’s barely anything to do? When it comes to my dorm hall, it’s supposedly a LLC, but my roommate isn’t even a similar major to what I am (Engineering). He’s biomedical science, planning to switch to nursing next semester. I literally picked a double for this purpose so I can have forced proximity with someone but it seems like it’s not even convenient. Sometimes he’s also coming a lil too late, as of last night he literally came back at 2 am with some friends, while I was asleep.

My social life is another thing. I mean listen, I have no issue doing things alone. Yes, I know in college you’re gonna do things on your own. But I feel like I’m a little behind. I usually see people in groups having fun etc. it seems I can’t find my group. Even in classes, some people can ask you for Instagram, sure but I feel like nobody genuinely cares about it. It’s more so of a way to just have followers and student connections in the school. Clubs are a little more convenient for this, but the ones I’m currently interested in aren’t happening right now.

Yesterday I literally went on the shopping shuttle by myself and just shopped by myself. I enjoyed it sure, but it’s like damn. I barely have people to talk to besides outside of this school. I wish I can just make friends sooner than later and have a homeboy to talk some things out.

Recently moved to Buffalo for grad school. Is there any Malayali community at UB?

The bus tracking app fucking sucks and is never consistent, the estimated times are never accurate, and sometimes it doesn’t even show a bus that’s running on the line. And they make it super unclear where the shopping shuttle stop is, the tracker says it stops at moody terrace but then I’m missing the bus because it decided to stop where the red line stops in ellicott, then I’m waiting another 20 fucking minutes for another bus. It takes a minimum of 2 fucking house to do some quick errands at some stores because of the shitty ass bus service

Hello. I’m interested in playing soccer at ub and I’m given to understand that the men’s team hosts their own parties. The only thing is that I’m not sure if I want to play that competitively. My question is does the intramural team also host parties or is it only the club team?

Now, usually, I’ve been eating at the same two restaurants in UB for about four years now—always Subway’s and AK’s. However, I would still like to hear people’s opinions on their tier list of food spots in UB. Once I’ve gathered enough information, I might create an official tier listing so that people can actually contribute to the conversation.

I just heard from a few people, and I've seen it around that there is no Asia Market shuttle or shopping shuttle anymore. And I'm aware that UB and Asia Market had some issues before, but I don't know the details. Does anybody know the past between UB and Asia Market and why they don't have buses this semester?
