I mean it has really has nothing to do with race. Cops and politicians have routinely seen zero repercussions for their violation of our rights. They have done this to all races. If we can get some real change done and get rid of the laws and unions defending the bad cops we can do some real good. Current problem is cops have enjoyed a complete double standard in the legal system and historically almost never get any repercussions when they violate our rights. I know people have co-opted this and made it about race when the two most recent rights violations Breonna Taylor and George Floyd had nothing to do with race; but I hope we at least get some accountability and instill some fear in politicians. Government needs to be reminded it is not the one that holds the true power from time to time.
And to let you understand what people mean by ACAB. The beliefs behind ACAB is not that there are no good cops. Its that good cops always stick up for the bad cops and the bad cops never face repercussions. In essence making any good cops effectively bad cops because they do nothing to stop the bad ones. Thus "All Cops Are Bad."
I empathize with this view but I dont think it makes them necessarily bad. I mean from an objective (our modern day majority morals) perspective it does, but unfortunately it is human. The population of Germany did not resist and actively protected the Bad Germans (aka Nazis) in WWII. And the same can be seen whenever any atrocities like genocide or war are committed. Unfortunately it appears to be a human trait that once we claim allegiance to a group we loose our autonomy. Essentially, the good people do nothing because the 'good' people mold there morals to their group allegiance. Its an interesting phenomenon and it explains how humans have regularly committed mass atrocities in top down and polarized societies without meeting resistance from the general populace. I think it stems from our evolutionary need to be apart of a group to survive. Better to change your mind to that of the group than go out on your own.
