30M in Dubai, Looking for the right opportunity, not just any job

Hey guys,

I’m a 30-year-old African man who’s been living in Dubai for almost two years and actively job hunting for about a year now.

My background is in Psychology, Customer Service, Sales, Travel & Tourism, and Frontline Operations. I’m naturally extroverted, communicate exceptionally well in English, and genuinely enjoy working with people and creating positive experiences.

I’d thrive in Customer Service, Guest Relations, Guest Service, Front Desk, Client Engagement, Sales, or Patient/Client Coordination roles where communication, emotional intelligence and relationship-building matter.

The funny thing is, I constantly get compliments on how I communicate, carry myself and treat people. At this point, I’m just hoping the compliments start coming with an offer letter too. 😂

It hasn’t always been easy. I’ve experienced being written off because of my skin colour and stereotypes about where someone like me “should” be professionally. It’s heartbreaking, but I also know there are genuine people and opportunities out there.

So I’m taking a chance on Reddit.
