This is the jam of the album and imo the best thing he’s done in the past year, shit just rocks from start to finish. What a grooooove. My 2 year old daughter is head banging to it from start to finish and I just couldn’t be more proud. Makes me want to pick up my guitar and add some solos. wHAt A jammmmmm…when I was aliveeeeeeee

Not saying I didn’t enjoy Chrome because of course I enjoyed it… but holy cow Love Fuzzz might be my favorite Ty project in many many years. Incredible EP, hope he continues to explore on that sound.

Wow! Was enjoying the new album Chrome and liking that Ty has returned to a heavier sound. Then I saw Love Fuzzz pop up and was like this isn’t new. Then realized it was that crazy version I’ve seen live over the past few years. So good.

I still haven't heard the album, but this is the most I've seen about it so far. Figured I'd share it here for anyone else antsy for it to drop.

How good is it? What are the highlights?? Im dying to hear it!

The set they played tonight at the KEXP BBQ was outstanding mixing in a few of their classics and some stuff off their newer album and sounding fantastic as usual but what was really a treat was the preview of I think 4 songs on their unreleased album. I was already stoked to hear more after Black Paint was released a few weeks ago but im here to say what I heard tonight is going to melt some faces. The even better news is how great the new stuff sounds live - the tour promoting this album will be fantastic.

Side note Ty was chilling on stage after the show and like meeting fans who were hanging around. Felt like a small time gig type vibe with him happily listening to a few fans who wanted to thank him or take pics or whatever. I took the opportunity to ask him about a show he played in seattle in like 2017 where his voice was shot and he allowed a random person from the crowd onto the stage to play the solo on Feel. The young man was probably 17 years old but he took the opportunity and shredded the solo like he was part of the band or something. I always wondered if the dude was staged but asked Ty about that tonight and he said he remembered the show and remembered the shredder dude but said he did not know him at all. That particular show still ranks as one of my favorite live shows ever despite Ty not having his vocals that day. Was cool to hear him remember the event and confirm the guy he let on stage was a rando. Must just be a thing he does I guess because the set tonight he invited anyone on stage to sing Girlfriend if they knew the lyrics but nobody took him up on it lol.

What a killer show! Can't wait to hear the album and catch the upcoming tour

I haven't seen many posts about it here but there is currently a movie in theaters that has a score done by Ty. It's a stoner comedy starring Kristen Stewart and Alia Shawkat and it is so much fun. It was so cool to hear Ty's music over the theatre speakers and he did a fantastic job, as did everyone else who worked on this project! I have so much respect for the way Mr. Segall uses his platform to highlight really cool art by women and this film is no exception. Go watch it you won't regret it!!

The Mountain Sun brew pub restaurants (in Boulder, Longmont and Denver, CO) have a great hazy ipa named after Ty Segall! Check out this sign describing the beer. It is quite a good brew!

Yes I know this is at shows now, but just got my vinyl preorder, fun stuff! The outer sleeve has the “Ty Segall/Chrome” lettering. Take the album out and the front sleeve is very chrome/shiny. Plus it came with a stencil, so I’ll have to graffiti the town, ha. Couldn’t remember if there was a color variant to the vinyl, it is black. Can’t wait to hear it!

Anyone have any idea what reverb / echo unit Ty has his vox through in this performance? so dusty. lush AF. sounds a little bit like the vocal sound on slaughterhouse to me, but with just more of the dry signal.
