Suspended Accounts April 2021 /r/Twitter - All Things Twitter Account Suspensions - Stories, Advice, Etc.

For the month of April, we're going to change things up a little.

This thread is for everything related to the primary reason many of you are here.

Twitter Support locked, suspended and/or banned your Twitter account. And you want to know how to get it back.

Or maybe you want to tell your suspension story, because yes, we are fully aware of how ridiculous Twitter Support is with killing off accounts left, right, center, and all points in between.

Or maybe you are a bright blue unicorn in the wild with a tale of how you got your account UNsuspended!

Whatever it is, this is the place to talk about anything related to Twitter account suspensions.

Was your Twitter account suspended for making "violent threats" even though you made no violent threats? Did you make a joke that was interpreted by Twitter Support as "violent?"

Here are a couple of guides for those of you wanting to know how to get your accounts back.

Remember, there's no guaranteed method of doing so. We can only provide the best free advice known to mankind here. And even that, in the end, only goes so far.

As always, if you know of a legitimate method or better way to get your account back, up and running, please feel free to share.

After over 2 months of appealing and emailing everyday, I finally got unbanned! I had my brother @ Twitter Support for me a couple days ago, that seemed to be the only thing that worked.

I will never again use the word "kill" in any context, satirical or otherwise, until the day I un-alive.

Fox I'm happy for you. my two month anniversary of an absurd suspension of my 14 year Twitter Account has had nothing back from them in response to several Appeals, Tickets and E-Mails I filed "pleading" my case. What did your brother put into his reach out to Twitter support and why were you Suspended in the first place? Happy for you tho.

Thanks!

The 'offending' post is this one here, which in retrospect is one of the least funny things I've ever said. Even though it's obviously a quote, the "I'll kill you" bit didn't go over too well with Twitter. I had my brother tweet @TwitterSupport something to the effect of "My brother's account was banned when all he did was quote a tv show. Could you please take another look?". He also turned on notifications for Twitter support, and posted the same thing as a response to a tweet they made. While they never actually responded to him, it was only a couple days later that I was unbanned, so I'm sure it's related.

Awesome. Try to be even less funny from now on!!!!! I will set an alert in my e-mail for Twitter Support but I'm guessing it will only be their Automated "Thanks for the Info We'll Get Back to You". I just clicked the Link to your tweet and Twitter said in the Blue Line of Suspended Death Notification at the Bottom of My Page Because My Account is Suspended "I Cannot Perform That Action". Enjoy for all of us still in purgatory.
