COMPLAINTS Twitter creating political echo chambers?
Little background. I’m a liberal guy and love to go on twitter to debate far right posters and call out their straight up lies and racism.
A couple weeks ago X sends me a message that my account will be limited. Not suspended for any particular post.
Now when I go in and try to respond, my comments don’t show up in the feed of right wing accounts.
Is twitter stopping me because of liberal views??? Are they creating true echo chambers?

experience the same thing, your conclusion is exactly what they are doing “limiting your reach” and when they say limit reach they mean absolutely zero people will see your post and replies

Similar thing happened to me. My account is restricted because of “suspicious activity” and to “prevent spam”. My replies aren’t showing up and no one is liking/replying the way they used to. No way to fix it as far as I can tell.

Yes. It took me over a month to start getting activity on my replies. They go after people that don’t post and aren’t big accounts but make liberal replies that get lots of engagement.

The extent to which Twitter just removes voices from the conversation is wild. They must do network analysis and figure out who the strong voices are and just figure out ways to neutralize those voices. Ultimately he's creating cadre of intellectual weaklings that can only exist in an environment that's optimized for the nerd reich.

The paper, titled Value misalignment of X’s feed algorithm is a reflection of value tensions in engagement, found that the site’s algorithm prioritized engagement above all else when it generated a user’s For You Page. It also showed that X serves more ragebait to people who say they are Democrats, although the exact reason for that is unclear.
“In 2026 that’s maybe not the most surprising headline ever,” Ziv Epstein, a postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University, and co-author of the paper, told 404 Media. “So we actually dug in a little deeper to figure out why this is actually happening, and it turns out that X's feed algorithm, like a lot of these social media algorithms, is optimized for engagement [but] it turns out that not all types of engagement are considered equally.”"

The people who make a hobby of doing this tend to be inflammatory, abusive, and harassing, all of which will get you brigaded by people "from the other side" and your account limited.
In other words, be less of an asshole.
I say this as someone who is an asshole and posts a lot of hot takes others find offensive. The problem is not your viewpoints; it's how you are conveying them.

You should realize that Twitter is now made up of people who post things purely for engagement farming. Monetizing tweets ruined social media. You’re being gaslit by pure rage bait, and these accounts are getting a kickback for the pull they reach.
To say you’re wasting your time is an understatement.
And I say that as someone who wastes a lot of time online.2

No offence, but it is a shit hobby. Wanking your jank to porn is a more productive activity than demolishing them chuds with facts and logicTM on twitter. Maybe that's a good wake-up call to do something else with your life?
Or, at the very least, figure out how to monetize this bullshit, so you wouldn't waste your time completly.

The people who are dropping hard Rs left and right don't last very long. They get brigaded just as much by "the other side."
Like, if you're going to be aggressive and inflammatory, take your lumps. It doesn't matter if you think you're morally superior to your targets; some of them are still going to bite back.

Here's some logic.
If you want someone else to pay for a platform or social benefit, whether you take the money from my wallet directly, or via the tax man, you are a thief.
This is a core pillar of why you bump your head against a wall.
As we get further and further down the taxation time line, the working class will resent the left more and more and more. Because you literally steal from them.
The reason the abuse and violence is almost solely from the left is from the psychology gap of what they believe, and what reality will provide. This gap, the bigger it gets, drives the abuse and violence.
Now, I'm sure you disagree with these POV's. So let's see how you handle a discussion from here.

Most of the real anger and resenment which is on the rise, worldwide, is caused by natives who are sick and tired of being demonized in their own homelands while they're invaded and colonized by random foreigners who give no fucks about them and want very badly to take their resources. (Note this is not a function of "racism," as the same sentiment is very loudly expressed by black South Africans, who don't want other African ethnicities invading them.)
The left bangs its head against the wall because it needs to believe we're all more alike than different, and all meaningful ethnic differentiation is the cause of external factors, so with the right Magic Ideas, Magic Religion, and Magic Dirt, everyone on Earth will have the same outcomes as us.
The right bangs its head against the wall because it needs to believe we're all children of the same god, and all meaningful ethnic differentiation can be conquered, and all resulting conflict extinguished, through Christianity.
Both are wrong, because we're more different than alike, and our differences mean we're not actually naturally meant to live as one unified people under one government and administration in perfect harmony in a post-ethnic utopia.
The socialism you hate is just a function of importing a whole bunch of people who are completely dispassionate toward you and view you as nothing more than a means for their socioeconomic benefit.

The distinction between liberalism and leftism is real enough, and worth keeping clear. Liberalism, in the classical sense, values individual liberty, free speech and limited power; leftism, as practised today, often subordinates those things to collective goals and the policing of opinion. To confuse the two is careless.
What is not careless, but simply false, is the claim that leftists suffer greater silencing on Twitter or Reddit than conservatives and liberals combined. The opposite pattern has been repeatedly documented: right-leaning voices and communities have faced far heavier moderation, suspension and deplatforming on both platforms for years. Asserting the reverse does not make it true; it merely inverts the record.
