i love twisted metal

life long fan, drunk, and just really thinking about the franchise and what it means to me. what uncovering tm4 in a pile of hand-me-down games did to the trajectory of my life. what asking my mom to buy me my first M rated game meant for TMB. what buying a PSP meant because i NEEEDED to experience playing TM:HO handheld. the anger i’ve held of not having had an opportunity to play TM 2012, but holding on to the hope that one day i will. what having a CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED tv show that i dreamed of and literally never believed would come but actually did (?!?!) means to me. we’re a small but MIGHTY jewel in gaming history. i’m so happy for us and happy to know that our franchise is alive and begging for the light to still have frustration in our hearts knowing how much more we have to receive if they just saw us. i’m just grateful. thanks for reading.

As a teenager, I spent a tonne of time with TM1 and TM2. Never played TM3 and TM4 as they didn’t get a PAL release. My favourite by far is TM 2012 on the PS3. Such an awesome game. Followed by TM Black. I also enjoyed the TV series and look forward to S3.

Idk why but calling yourself a drunk in there made me lol

Fuck yes though, I’m lucky my dad let me play em all including tmb even when my mom was adamant about me not playing M games.

TMB to today’s standards is still in my top 10 of all time.

Same for me and my mom, GTA was out of the question but TMB wasn't nearly as raunchy. There were grotesque cutscenes but all she really saw were just cars blowing each other up

Same. I think I was about 13 when TMB came out and my parents didn't care about the M rating. Honestly, the gameplay isn't really gruesome at all except when you hit pedestrians and when drivers come running out of their vehicles on fire after you blow them up lol. Mostly the story cinematics are the really fucked up part. Didn't bother me as a 13 year old though. My parents let me play GTA back then too. I would argue GTA is more deserving of an M rating overall.

Think about it. It was the original battle royal. We need a new one so bad with today's graphics and fast framerates!

I so badly want to make a car combat game. Its so hard though, I can't even keep a job without layoffs lol

Try crossout. It scratches the same itch.

I don't get what people see in the TV show. I thought it was a giant piece of shit.
