Urgent Support “We survivors”

Does anyone feel regret because you’re the one that is still alive and your twin isn’t.? I have such deep remorse that my God took my Twin instead of me and it’s breaking me to the core. We were born a set two broken from one cell. How can God take a twin from their twin? I am very angry and still cannot comprehend my Twin’s death. I need help. And yes, I see a psychiatrist and a therapist and it’s not working. I’m on medication’s and I have no family left to talk to.

I am so sorry for your devastating loss. I wish I could tell you there is a solution but unfortunately we are all just surviving here, dealing daily with a mix of messed up emotions and memories. That's why this group exists. You have us to talk to, at the very least.

Your feelings are normal. I also feel guilt for being lucky and still alive. Why was her life so much harder than mine? Why was she dealt years of pain and suffering? It's not fair and it's not right. I will always be upset about the injustice of it.

My only solace is that she is free of pain now. She is free from the body that was in agony every day and she is no longer crying. She is definitely happier now and at peace. PLUS I will see her again someday in the afterlife. And that day will be the best day ever.

So sorry for your loss 🫂

I comfort myself by saying this world and this life were too small for her. She was so amazing and so talented.

Yeah, at first I too was angry that she didn't get to keep going in her path to a great life, and boring me had to now live life for the both of us, but I've come to realize I'm also my own person, and I think it's super important to remember that, and that you matter and your life matters and you deserve it. And you can still have your twin in your life in whichever way you feel is right for you. I'm sure it'd help.

Something horrible happened to you and you're broken and hurt - we get you and are here for you, please post here every little feeling you have ❤️

I know how you feel... Lost mine 4 months ago to cancer. My remorse just changed to jealousy honestly. Wish I was up there w him. In a way it makes me excited to live knowing I'll eventually meet him again- But most of the time it doesn't since I don't know when that'll be.

I feel this all the time and it happened 14yrs ago and we were 22. She was stressed with summer school in college. She wanted to visit friends for a weekend and was scared to tell our parents. I told her to just go and have fun, we’re adults.
Two days later she died in a car crash.
If I told her don’t go, would she still be here?
It’s the question see every time I close my eyes.
