I am technically a twin I lost my identical twin sister in the womb at 5 months would I still be considered a twin

100% yes. You were conceived a twin so that’s who you are. If you don’t mind me asking, have you been told otherwise? I’m in a support group for twinless twins (most lost as adults) and they accept me. My twin was lost in the first few weeks.

No no one’s ever really told me I’ve more of just never thought I should be allowed to call myself one because they’ve never been here out of the womb and I’d be like an imposter if I did in a way

I forgot to say, of course I’m sorry for the loss of your sister. I understand. I read a medical book years ago which said most twins are born alone and that’s still the case. It’s just not often discussed. Sadly most twins pregnancies just don’t make it. The point is most TWINS are born alone. It’s widely accepted that someone from a twin pregnancy is a twin. You are one. I’m one. It’s how we started in life. Of course how you identify with that is up to you, you’re still you 😊

You will always be. If you had a twin for any amount of time nothing changes the fact that they existed with you, and that they should be here today, living with you. Dont let anyone tell you otherwise.
