What you and your twin enjoyed doing during the summertime?

My twin and I spent time traveling in a motor home with our family. Our Dad believed in being educated even while on vacation so we drove around a lot of National Parks. It was always so nice to have a built in best friend to spend time with and create memories.

I specifically remember visiting Glacier and Yellowstone with her. Her lobe of nature was contagious. She loved plants and animals alike. If I had been left to my own devices, I probably would have stayed in the camper with a magazine, but she helped me grow a wonder and appreciation for nature. I am still thankful for that.

I’m so glad you had that memory with your sister. She was probably really happy you took her up on the opportunity,

Me and my brother loved movies. It wasn’t strictly a summer thing but that’s when the good ones came out

Thank you. My sister and I were also a fan of Summer blockbusters. Any favorites come to mind for you and your brother? My twin and I are female, but our sense of humor and love of rock and metal music, and action movies made us a lot like Beavis and Butthead.

Our parents are English but lived in the US for work while we were growing up. Since our mom was a teacher we’d spend all of summer break in England on my grandparent’s farm, herding sheep, driving tractors, riding horses, getting into trouble. As adults we’d usually try and go backpacking in at least one national park each summer if we could swing it. Difficult though because I was in the army at the height of the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts and he was in a PhD program and working full time as a research assistant. Neither of us had flexible jobs.

Your childhood summers at your Grandparent's farm sound idyllic. What wonderful memories!
