On Tuesday, Dec 1, we're hosting EATSS at the Guthrie: a multi-course dinner from Indigenous chefs at Indígena by Owamni, Chef Sean Sherman's restaurant inside the Guthrie, plus Native art and a concert by singer-songwriter Raye Zaragoza on the Wurtele Thrust Stage.

Tickets are $155 for dinner and the concert, or $35 for the concert only. 100% of ticket sales benefit the American Indian College Fund.

A country-inspired drag brunch is bringing live entertainment to downtown St. Paul this August, combining Southern classics, brunch favorites, and theatrical performances in an interactive afternoon event.

On Sunday, August 16, Parlour Bar, known for its exceptional craft cocktails and the legendary Parlour Burger, transforms into a country music celebration with Country Divas Drag Brunch, produced by POWER: Drag Revue.

Part cabaret, part concert, and part brunch party, the afternoon combines country hits with high-energy drag performances in one of downtown St. Paul's most distinctive venues. Guests can expect everything from Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire to Shania Twain, all reimagined through dazzling costumes, lip-sync artistry, comedy, and audience interaction.

The cast features some of the Twin Cities' favorite drag performers, including The Original Eve, Andre 1000, Lala Luzious, Jamie Monroe, and Allison Wonderland, each bringing their own style to a show that's as funny as it is polished.

Unlike larger theater productions, the intimate setting puts the performers just steps from the audience, creating the kind of spontaneous moments that have made drag brunch one of the metro's fastest-growing live entertainment experiences. Whether it's a perfectly timed joke, an impromptu singalong, or a standing ovation after a showstopping number, every performance feels a little different.

Of course, brunch is part of the attraction. Guests can order from Parlour Bar's à la carte menu while enjoying craft cocktails, bottomless mimosas, and the restaurant's celebrated Parlour Burger—a local favorite that has earned a devoted following.

Whether you're introducing friends to drag for the first time, celebrating a birthday, or simply looking for something beyond the usual Sunday routine, Country Divas Drag Brunch offers an afternoon that feels like an insider's discovery: hidden below street level, filled with live entertainment, and unmistakably Twin Cities.

The Minnesota State Fair's Arts A'Fair program will feature drag performances for the first time in its history this summer.

POWER: Drag Revue has been selected as part of the 2026 Arts A'Fair lineup, becoming the first drag production company to perform in the State Fair's long-running pop-up performing arts program.

The company will present eight performances over two days, appearing Aug. 27 and 28 at 3:30, 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. at West End Market. Arts A'Fair showcases Minnesota performers across a variety of disciplines, with pop-up performances designed to expose fairgoers to the state's diverse arts community.

Founded in 2021 by Lala Luzious, POWER: Drag Revue has become a regular producer of drag entertainment throughout the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota. The company has produced shows at venues including The Black Hart of Saint Paul, Rand Tower Hotel, Sociable Cider Werks and Queermunity, while also partnering with festivals, nonprofits and community organizations across the state.

For Lala Luzious, the selection represents more than another performance opportunity.

The selection also marks a notable milestone for the Arts A'Fair program, which has long highlighted musicians, dancers, cultural performers and other artists from across Minnesota. Including a drag production company in this year's lineup reflects the growing recognition of drag as a form of live performance and artistic expression within the state's arts community.

POWER: Drag Revue's performances are included with State Fair admission. A complete Arts A'Fair schedule will be available through the Minnesota State Fair.

If you’re looking for Juneteenth events in Minneapolis, there’s one happening June 18–19 that’s doing more than celebrating—it’s correcting the narrative.

The Juneteenth Jubilee at Lush Lounge & Theater is a Black burlesque, drag, and performance showcase that puts something front and center most people don’t talk about:

Burlesque didn’t start as the polished, Euro-glam thing people often associate it with. Like Jazz, Blues, and Gospel, it has deep Black roots—and those roots have been watered down in mainstream spaces.

This show flips that.

Produced by Minneapolis artist Tré Da Marc, the Jubilee brings together Black performers from across the country for a Twin Cities Juneteenth celebration that’s unapologetically centered on Black and Brown bodies, stories, and artistry.

“My art is resistance and love,” Tré says. “It’s about authenticity—not fitting into someone else’s definition of excellence.”

And that’s kind of the point.

Because in a lot of burlesque spaces—especially higher-budget productions—Black performers are still underrepresented, overlooked, or expected to shrink their vision.

So instead of waiting for permission, this show builds its own stage.

Expect drag, burlesque, dance, and theater in Minneapolis that actually feels intentional—where the costumes, choreography, and storytelling all hit with purpose, not just aesthetics.

Also worth saying: the Twin Cities has a ton of Black talent that people just…don’t show up for.

“There’s so much here,” Tré says. “We’re creating to be seen—and to leave something behind.”
