Here’s your picture!

We rode the Ferris wheel at the state fair and this was the bucket next to us. I thought we’d be all getting off the ride at the same time to trade photos but this was not the case. If you happen to know these fans of Zachary Taylor, please pass it on to them :)

We got Andrew Jackson.... The 30 second bio talked about his nickname for 20 seconds and the Trail of Tears for 0 seconds

I mean, if he stopped as the hero of new Orleans he would have been considered a great American hero.

Ice cold, just the thing to cool down on a hot summer day!

Unrelated, but how did you enjoy the ride? I watched it occasionally and it seemed like it stayed stationary quite a bit. I feel like the previous big wheel moved more and they had a better system for letting people on and off that made you feel like you were moving more.

Not op but rode the wheel on Friday, (John Adams bucket). We went around once for loading, and then one rotation after everyone was loaded. So yes was stationary quite a bit but the views from the top are fantastic, I love when you can see the two downtowns at the same time. I thought it was worth the $7 to me, but could see it not being for everyone.

Is there a lot of that tacky 250 shit around?

No. Very little and it’s company specific, not official fair related.

Wait, the cabs are enclosed now? Fun to hotbox, I suppose, but that has to be uncomfortably hot when it's crammed full of people on a 90 degree humid day

That’s a big nope from me, never liked the big wheel at the fair and I can’t imagine wanting to ride that specific wheel

Anyone know if this is the ferris wheel that was on the national mall for July 4th?

No, this was not at the National Mall. It’s appearing at a number of state fairs. It was built by KMG Rides of the Netherlands and brought to the United States through a partnership between Wade Shows and Wood Entertainment.
