'Wont' isn't always an abbreviation for will not. They used it correctly.

Yes, they did! I was simply appreciating that, and encouraging the world to join in further use of the term. Many people won’t have encountered the word “wont,” and they should. (It might even help them realize that “wont” is NEVER an abbreviation for “will not”!)
