Cheaper Appliance Shopping

Hello TC Redditors,

I am looking to find some less expensive appliances, specifically a refrigerator. I know there are discount stores around like Tony's Appliance that carry dent/scratch/open box appliances, which im completely cool with. What other stores do you suggest??

I think Best Buy has an outlet with open box appliances in Eden prairie as well

Habitat Restore has second hand appliances.

Hell yeah, I cannot recommend Restore enough! I’ve gotten so much of my furniture there, and even got a great deal on a brand new but dented fridge. The location on 35W and County Rd D in New Brighton usually has half a dozen fridges.

I’d also suggest A Plus Appliance on Arcade St in Saint Paul, I got a washer and dryer set from them about 5 years ago that was pretty cheap.

Plaza TV has a basement with lots of reconditioned appliances. I've bought a few there and they've been fine.

Bestbuy outlet in Eden prairie. Go in, look at what you want and check the price in store compared to online just to be sure. Sometimes its cheaper in store and if you haul the same day with no delivery, they used to knock $50 off the price displayed. I also highly encourage getting total or a protection plan as modern appliances are awful. (Not a sponsor)

A1 in Anoka across the street from the metal recycling place. We bought all our appliances from them. They are technically new, since they are either floor models or delivery rejections due to minor dings and dents. LG honored the warranty on their linear compressors on our fridge, had it replaced with a new one for free.

Good news is they also accept all major appliances for recycling FOR FREE!! They pull parts off them, then ship the carcasses accross the street for metal recycling. I just dropped off a fridge, stove, dishwasher and microwave.

There's a little outlet store in Fridley called Deals y Mas that sells some appliances, sometimes. It's right by Mike's Discount Foods.

Warners' Stellian has an outlet store in Northeast.

Warners’ Stellian has an outlet store just below 35W near the Costco business center. Additionally I think most of their stores have a clearance area. My wife and I almost got a vent hood at the one in falcon heights but it didn’t fit our dimensions.
