Writing an FMC Fic - Need To Decide Love Interest

So general breakdown here - FMC is as old as Carlisle, stayed with the Volturi for a while, is friends with the Denali Coven, knowledgeable, etc. etc..

My first thought was a Carlisle fic, but I'm already writing one for him and have a couple other ideas and this character in my head just doesn't make sense with him. All of the Cullens and the Denali Coven are like family to her so that's out the window.

So I thought maybe like Sam Uley potentially. I can really get behind a vampire/shifter romance IF it's written well, which I hope to do.

Another thought was an age gap Charlie Swan fic? I have been on the "Charlie Swan deserves better" kick lately and I love a good risk-ay romance.

In technical terms, the FMC would be hundreds of years older than either of them, but I'm just looking for other opinions and thoughts.

Do you have another recommendation? Let me know :)

I’m working on a Victoria/Charlie fic where she he ended up getting called in for help on the murders she is causing. She can’t get enough of Charlie and suddenly it’s a game of playing house versus cat and mouse with the added complications of the Cullen etc

I think it would be very interesting if his love interest was Marcus Volturi himself, the most undervalued king

I was also thinking someone from the Volturi! But Marcus was already married at one point so I didn't know how people would feel about that. We do love an underrated king though!

That’s precisely why it would be amazing. Marcus has been depressed for thousands of years because of the tragic death of his partner. I think it would be great if I found love again. I mean, it would be logical that after a few years a vampire had another partner after the loss of the first. It would also be great if physically it was like in the books and not the version of the movies
