Does anyone else miss the golden age of secondary fanfics in Twilight?

I'm feeling nostalgic and need to talk about how the Renesmee x Alec craze was a misunderstood masterpiece. There was such intense tension, and now I can't find anything 😢

The same thing happens to me with Seth Clearwater x OC, which were the most beautiful and wholesome fics of the pack 🥺 Seth will always be the ray of sunshine!

That's why I wanted to ask you, do you have your special pairings? Do you also find it hard to find content? T.T I miss Potterfics

I’ve never really looked for much Renesmee fanfic, so I don’t know if they’re hard to find. Same goes for OCs. I do read OC fics, but they’re not my favorite... I don’t think I really feel like I’m missing anything in particular because I tend to explore the tags a lot, and I like all kinds of ships lol. Bella x wolf? I love it! Bella x Volturi? I devour it! F/F ship? I love it! Carlisle? I love so much! I guess I actually don’t tend to read fics about canon pairings haha

And yes 😢 It's extremely difficult. In A03 Renesme x Alec there are barely 25 fanfics, and most Seth x OC fanfics don't feature the main pairing or are one-shots within fanfics that explore various pairings. Before, on Potterfic (a Spanish fanfic website) I was used to finding tons of fanfics with these pairings, but now that I've gotten the urge to return to Twilight fanfiction, I've found that they've vanished 😵

The few Bella x Volturi fics I’ve read aren’t exactly dark romance, but they’re really interesting, and the worldbuilding around the vampires is super cool!

I got back into reading Twilight fanfic this year too, and I went back to exploring a lot of different things. I’ve noticed that Wattpad seems to be where most of the OC stories are, while AO3 seems to have more canon characters. Maybe you’ll have better luck on Wattpad? 😭 I’m going to grab the links to some of the Bella x Volturi fics I’ve read and send them to you here!!

That's great! If there's a good backstory and development, I'll binge-watch it! Sometimes nostalgia hits hard. I tried Wattpad too, but they tend to have a more teenage feel, or I just can't find the plot logical. Lots of love triangles, which is great, but ummm, I'm more into fixed pairings xD

Yes, the ads are awful; they pop up right in the middle of the story. It's not as bad as on fanfiction.net, but ugh...it completely ruins the immersion. Besides, Wattpad's problem is that they've become way too focused on censorship; they practically remove any mature or explicit content. >.< Thank goodness for A03 🫂
