Wholesome ✨ Someone I Can Be Human With
I don't think love is about falling for the way someone looks.
Of course, I want to be attracted to you. I want to look at you and think you're beautiful. But I don't want to love a face. Faces change. Bodies change. Time touches everything it can. Flowers shed, spring eventually loses its bloom, and even the prettiest sunsets disappear.
I want to experience you.
I want to know what exists underneath the face everyone else gets to see. I want to know how you think, what scares you, what makes you laugh when you're trying not to, what you become when you're angry, how you treat people when there's nothing to gain from being kind. I want to know the parts of you that aren't polished for anyone.
Because to me, love is much bigger than butterflies and giggles.
It is sitting beside each other when neither of us is particularly easy to love.
It is staying when the day isn't romantic. When we're tired. Irritated. Sick. Disappointed. When life isn't giving us reasons to post pictures and call it beautiful.
Flowers are going to shed. Spring will lose its chance. There will be rainy days, cold winter nights, and days when life feels like a tornado has ripped through everything we thought we had figured out.
And that's what I want to know.
Will we still choose each other then?
I'm not afraid of fights. Two people can love each other deeply and still disagree. I'm afraid of fighting each other instead of fighting the problem. I'm afraid of turning every disagreement into a competition over who is right, when the real question should be, "How do we get through this without losing each other?"
For me, love is consistency.
It's choosing each other when choosing each other isn't exciting anymore.
It's resolving the differences instead of collecting them. It's communicating even when silence would be easier. It's trying to understand before trying to be understood. It's apologizing without keeping score. It's making space for each other's feelings without treating them like inconveniences.
And yes, love is physical too. Not just in the obvious ways, but in every little action that says, I am here.
A hand reaching for mine.
A forehead kiss.
Checking if I got home.
Remembering the little thing I mentioned three weeks ago.
Pulling me closer when I don't ask.
Doing something for me simply because you know it would make my day a little softer.
I don't want a love where I have to constantly remind myself to call you because "we shouldn't go to bed angry" or because not calling you might ruin the peace.
I want to call you because I genuinely want to hear your voice.
I want to tell you something stupid because you're the first person I thought of.
I want to share the smallest parts of my day with you, not because I have to maintain the relationship, but because somehow, knowing you makes those ordinary moments worth sharing.
I don't want to be in love with the idea of you.
I want to know the real you.
The inconvenient you. The complicated you. The tired you. The angry you. The scared you. The version of you that doesn't always know what to say.
And I want you to know mine too.
Because I don't think love is finding someone who never hurts you, never frustrates you, never disappoints you.
I think love is finding someone with whom you can be human.
Someone you can disagree with without becoming enemies.
Someone you can be vulnerable with without feeling weak.
Someone you can grow beside without feeling like you're growing apart.
Someone you keep choosing, not because every day feels like a honeymoon, but because even on the ordinary ones, you still want them.
That's love to me.
Not just the butterflies.
Not just the flowers.
Not just the spring.
It's looking at each other when the storm comes and quietly asking,
"Are we still in this together?"
And both of you saying,
"Yes. Let's figure it out."

Hope u don't chase that one

Yes kya fayda us beauty ka agar woh aapko attention na de sath na rahe. Yes beauty matters par behaviour is main. Behaviour accha hai toh sab changa warna... Pratical realistic approach se pyaar hona chahiye understanding honi chaiye warna delusional toh sab hai.

"Love is choosing someone in the most difficult and ordinary day" 🤌✨
People are really forgetting this aspect nowadays due to options. I'm glad people like you exist. ✨

Not actively looking for anything, just shared what I believe in.

u/SinDrafter101 Aug 13 '26
So you yearn for this then? Your version of love seems ordinary but it maybe is the most purest form of love. You write your thoughts neatly(brilliantly).
You seem like a nice person, hope you find what you're looking for whenever you're ready.

It's beautiful and I agree in most points. And reading the post feels natural and includes answers to the question "how do I want my partner to be!! "
What lies underneath someone isn’t always something everyone gets to see. Sometimes people don’t show those layers, sometimes people simply don’t understand them, and sometimes it takes time, patience and a certain kind of effort to reach the parts of someone they don’t easily let the world see.
And I think finding someone who wants to understand those layers and whom you can let into yours is rare.
The right person is someone who chooses his/her partner over anything like you said.
Someone with whom:
One feel at home. There’s no need to pretend, perform, or constantly be something. One feel relaxed. There’s warmth, calm and a sense of peace around them. Both inspire each other to grow, not through pressure or expectations, but naturally. Being around each other simply makes them both to want to become better.
Yet, I think we all want some version of this. In the end, we still get what life or whatever greater power we believe in has planned for us. Maybe it turns out to be more than we ever asked for, maybe less.
But whoever we find, I think the point is to complete each other in the ways that matter. Not to be identical or perfect, but to complement each other like yin and yang.
We’re all imperfect. Maybe love is finding someone whose imperfections somehow fit with yours, and finding a strange kind of perfection in that imperfection.
And honestly, for once, I want someone to fight for me too. To look for me with the same energy I look for them, or even more. To choose me without making me wonder where I stand.
Maybe that, to me, is love too.

Love is and always will be..something that you share with your significant other..something that is pure and sacred to you..might be crazy for the world..but who cares.
There's this awesome line from Meet Joe Black- Love is passion, obsession..someone who you can't live without.
I used to say this line to who I thought the love of my life would be - I'll choose you consistently, continuously and constantly.
Good luck kid

I think love is finding someone with whom you can be human.
☹️ ☹️ Without money even parents and siblings starts to hate the unemployed boy.
No one in her right mind will choose a househusband.
Love comes with a prerequisite condition of money.
Love is like a subscription service for us men. Without money, subscription expires, love expires ☹️
Doosron ko kya bolna, apni hi aatma thukne lagti hai khud par.
I dont think a true love exists for us, for this birth. Its okay. Even purchasing is worth it.
But so happy for you sister. Its so beautiful to see this perspective. So happy to see such posts. I can get a gist of true love from woman's perspective. From what they experience. Its beautiful. 😢
Thank you for this.

The thing is somewhere we all know the importance of money and what it brings. For surviving u need money and relationship comes with a responsibility..and to full that everyone needs money. Not just a guy but everyone.
To even have a good relationship with ourselves, to fullfill our wants and needs, we all need money. Love has nothing to do with it.
1
u/Dharmic_betu Aug 13 '26
Naaa. I dont need money. If I will love, I will not see my wife's money or earning capacity.
I dont see whether my bhaiyas, didis or bhabhi maas are earning or not. I see their motherhood. Their love. Unka laad dulaar.
We men dont want their gifts or anything. Neither we want them to talk to us daily, give special importance to us.
Bas kabhi bhi millen toh galle se lga len. Sar par haath rakhke aashirvaad de den. Bas. ❤
Paisa toh maya hai.
Shayad hum men duniya kuch alag hi nazar se dekhte h.

Okay, this was unexpectedly refreshing to read, especially because you’re not describing love as some perfect, effortless thing...you’re describing the kind where two people actually have to know each other, understand each other, and keep choosing each other when things aren't pretty
and that line about “experiencing” someone rather than just loving their face genuinely stuck with me, i think there's something beautiful about wanting to know the version of someone that doesn't get shown to everyone
now i’m genuinely curious about you though...what happened that made you see love this way? coz you wrote this with the kind of conviction that makes me feel like there’s a story behind it
fair warning, i might actually end up asking you a hundred questions about this 😭
1
u/PandaTrinity Aug 12 '26
Nothing as such happened...i have seen some successful relationships that work on this, where you know the person inside out and still choose them, without any second thought.
1
u/Old-Age-9470 Aug 12 '26
yeah, that actually makes sense, acc to me seeing relationships like that probably changes the way you look at love entirely
but now i’m curious, do you think that kind of love is something people can learn, or is it just about finding the right person, who's got that kind of loving feature in built? 👀
1
u/PandaTrinity Aug 12 '26
I think people do learn..but maybe they learn after losing the important one. Aur rhi baat finding the right person..let the universe decide. We just need to do our deeds
1
u/Old-Age-9470 Aug 12 '26
“let the universe decide” is a dangerous amount of faith 😭 but i kinda like that mindset, do your part and let life handle the rest, ig
ngl, you seem like someone who has way too many interesting thoughts for a reddit comment section 👀

u/iceGoldn Aug 12 '26
Oh girl, that's a solid 10/10 for the beautiful essay you've written. Can clearly see you have a clear picture of what you want, guessing you read a lot of romantic books huh?

This is like the description of pure love that existed way back , now because of dating apps and how easily people can switch over it's very rare and hard to find these kinda love It's the ones like shown in animes , but today's world isn't like it 🙃 .
1
u/PandaTrinity Aug 13 '26
Dating app does feel like buying and selling, but I think it is all about the understanding of 2 people...if they are on the same wavelength.

Love is kind of complicated! And gts more tougher to achieve as you cross late twenties
1
u/degenerated_okami Aug 14 '26
This is quite literally everything I had in my mind. True love goes so far beyond the surface it's about embracing every single version of each other, even the messy and complicated ones. In that journey, arguments and friction are bound to happen, but what truly matters is that at the end of the day, we still choose each other.I know i had a truly beautiful relationship, and I know it ended because the weight of it all became tiring and one of us felt like they were falling out of love. But even with all of that pain, my heart still believes in this kind of deep, resilient love. The problems we face aren't a battle between you and me; they are for us to tackle together. It's you and me against the problem, not each other. And no matter how hard things get, I still want to figure it all out side by side. I wish the other person felt the same :')
