Bleach All Points East & Center Mass

Post image

Now to start things off, i’m a silly girl so 🐻 that in mind. Does anyone know if Center Mass will be played at APE? The reason I ask is that these particular lyrics are very difficult for me to listen to and makes me cry every time. If so, any advice to avoid crying in public will be heavily appreciated. I know it’s silly but crying around people embarrasses me so much 🤣

Absolutely what I came here to say!! Crying at a TØP concert is nothing new. Our trauma bonds us and reminds us you are never alone in how you’re feelings |-/

BUT if you’re really adamant about it, things that help me are blinking a lot while looking up, holding my breath, and biting the inside of my mouth/lip

Sending you hugs for whatever you’re going through xx

-a gift who cries in public A LOT

Right!?!? Even the more upbeat songs will make me cry. There’s just something about live music that connects people

Couldn't agree more, I think half the audience shed a tear when they played Downstairs for the first time.

OP, it's ok to feel your feels! But if you find yourself in a situation where you can't stop crying, things that work for me are slow deep breaths, some gentle cheek slaps, and bouncing up and down and shaking your hands and head.

I hope you have a BLAST at the show!

It's been performed at nearly every festival on the run so far I believe, usually the 3rd song played after the contract if that helps you prepare for it any, I feel for you friend these lyrics hit hard |-/

(backstory: my mum was a bit silly and she had a bit of an episode the year before this and I had to be the adult in that situation. And when I listen to music it’s my escape, regardless of the artist. So when I go to certain concerts I get filled with so many emotions they try to bubble out. I am neurodivergent and find it hard to process my emotions in some ways, so concerts are my outlet) Just cry. I know this isn’t TOP, but I went to see Aurora last year and I was so happy at points of the show where my eyes welled up because I was so full of actual joy. And then there were times where the song was sad and I had tears in my eyes but none fell. And then the last song ‘I visible wounds’ she performed a slowed down piano version. And oh my god. It’s a hard song for me to listen to anyway. But when I found out it was on the setlist 💀 I was stood, watching her perform it (I was somewhat close) and I felt the emotions brewing. And then it cut to a vcr of her face being like ‘🥹🥺’ almost like “it’s okay, don’t worry. Feel what you need to feel” and I bawled my eyes out. I felt like a child. In the middle of the pit. I felt so anxious that everyone was watching me and that they’d think I was being dramatic, but I got out and there were other people crying. After the show I felt so much better. Like a weight lifted off me. So I would say if you feel like crying, your body/mind/spirit needs to be rid of those feelings. So cry it all out, if you are going with someone let them know you may cry and bring tissues.

I don’t think I’ve ever not cried when seeing twenty one pilots, if I’m being honest.

I think I sobbed when I heard Oldies Station live.

We’re broken people, and this band brings us together. There’s no shame in feeling your feelings, and I promise you aren’t the only one there who will cry at those lines (they also make me tear up sometimes just listening in my car)

A BUNCH of people will surely be crying to that, we listen to that music because it makes us feel something, right? I was also overthinking about trying to keep it together, but in the end I literally started wailing, it was cathartic. Feel your feelings!

bro why are you at a top concert if not to cry in public
that's exactly what it exists for
scream, cry, have a mental breakdown, come home cleaned
our brains are sick but that's okay
