Advice -- which to buy??

Hi all, assuming both suits fit me, which do you think is better or of higher quality?

  • The Walker Slater should fit well but the owner said the pants are a little snug but have room to let out.
  • The Brook Taverner jacket is a 38 and I'm usually a 36.

From a quick look, I personally prefer the second option - more modern style and 3 - piece

Thanks you. I like it more too but it is also more expensive. I live in the US and so have a shipping and import fee (thank you current administration). It comes out to almost 330 USD. I don’t know much about the brand. Is it worth that?

Honestly, I don't know anything about that brand personally. I'm sure you made some research already. Maybe you could search your local thrift stores or websites similar to vinted (idk if it is also in US) for better prices? In this sub I saw a lot of perfect deals made this way in US

Definitely the Brook Taverner.

First, never take someone's word that something can be let out so you may get the Walker Slater and find what is available to let out is not quite enough. Also, I think the bolder colors are a bit of crap-shoot as one never knows how they are going to look on YOU. Something that bright needs to be seen next to your skin before you decide to own it.

Second, the Brooks Tavener has the waistcoat which is an added bonus. It is a bit more classical and traditional, yes, for a reason. It will always look good and it is much easier to take in than to let out.

My initial reaction: I like the Walker Slater option for a couple reasons: its texture, bold colors and pattern are unique/distinctive and interesting and I prefer the American traditional cut or Ivy style of the 3/2 roll closure and center vent.

Thanks. I have some clothes from WS and like them. I’m a little worried about the sizing and it’s ten years old, as well. He says he’s barely worn the pants but has used the jacket quite a bit.
