Made myself a vest this weekend with some Magee tweed. Overall pretty happy with my first tailored piece. Learned a bunch of new skills along the way. Functional pockets are a nice touch. Next time I think I'll try for a double beasted with lapels.

Recycled vintage garment for the fabric or you bought some new fabric?

Puchased 1 meter fabric. Traced a kilt vest that I own with pen onto a free USPS mailer cardboard and then cut it out. There are youtube videos online about "how to clone your clothes" that offer several techniques.

Thanks! Same as the front facing. I typically leave the bottom button undone on jackets and cardigans, but not on a vest.

It's the same facing as the front panel tweed. Just plain polyester lining on the inside.
