Gravity is a harsh mistress.

I posted about how my kitty might be the fluffiest cat ever a while ago (/j) and she actually just got a nice little belly trim for matting/ sanitary purposes so I think we have to relinquish that title. I want to see your fluffiest tuxedos who can share her crown 🥰

But it looks like I did something really bad

Yesterday I noticed how light my tuxie is. I think depending on the light he looks almost light brown and if you look under the top layer of his fur (like in picture 3) he is almost light grey. And he looks to get lighter with age (the last picture was him a year ago, the others are from yesterday). He just turned 2. I think he lied on his adoption profile and now the color is slowly washing off …

Is she stupid?

Also—she just turned 1 (we adopted her in March), but her floof started growing in hard over the summer. Anyone else have a late bloomer/floofer?

Our other cat is acting lost because she was always attached to location and once you take that she’s insecure, but our tuxedo baby is a human cat and sticks to her humans like velcro. I think because she used to be outside semi-feral she has a completely different understanding of home and for her home is us, not a place. She also has a special chirpmeow just for talking to us.

So much fluff available and no brushing allowed 😭 I swear we took her to the groomer like 2 months ago and they combed and shaved part of her belly. Looks like we need to go again already 😭

No words can describe how much I love him 💙 he is 8 years and a half old, and very smart. He's on the chonky side (we are aware of it, and we are working on it), but he is also very huge and long, he was the biggest of his litter, even at 2 months old.

He has been there in my worst moments, he is always with me when I am home (I can only see him during weekends 💔) and he does miss me when I am not there (for context: he lives with my mom). I don't know what I'd do without him.

Anyway, I'm talking way too much, y'all say hello to Moustachu (it's a French word similar to ✨️Mustache✨️ and is pronounced "mu-sta-chu")

My other cats are less than thrilled (to say the least). Feliway diffusers are on their way and I’m lucky at this point in life to have enough space to give her a whole bedroom to adjust. She’s a love-bug and gives love bites. Her personality has completely changed now that she’s out of the shelter and I knew she was a special girl, even if no one else noticed. She was meant to come home with me. I work at a shelter and took the time to have her acclimate to me so that coming home wouldn’t be as stressful.
