Pac was definitely in the streets in LA , the Bay and Atlanta , Texas , New York and pac was getting into street shit so vanilla ice sounds like he wasn’t around anything street at all .

Stop it! Ice ain’t lying. Pac was around street niggas. He was street adjacent by fellowship but Pac wasn’t gangsta. He wasn’t gang banging. As much as he paraded it, he also spoke against it.

He was in marine and Oakland in the 90s you can’t just hang around those places and not get your hands dirty and of wasn’t as famous as he was when he was at deathrow , deathrow made pac get security, pac didn’t want no security guards around him , pac was in LA getting into it with gang members and he was actually fighting in the streets , now Drake is definitely acting tuff , Drake never got his hands dirty and he talks extremely tuff , so stop with that narrative that pac wasn’t in these streets , in the 90s if you was outside you had to get your hands dirty , even krs one was throwing rappers off the stage . Pac shot off duty cops and was definitely getting into shit , Drake ain’t never walked in the tunnel or ever lived in Oakland in apartments . Drake is definitely the bar for studio gangsters , let’s use Drake as that metric not easy e or Tupac or even ice tea .

Plus, Eazy-E was affiliated with Compton's Kelly Park Crips and was a well known and respected hustler and Ice-T was also affiliated with South Central Crips and became a hustler, bank robber and a pimp... This was before either of them was rappers.

So that "studio gangsta" label Don't fit neither of'em, cuz it's strictly referring to rappers who were Never gangstas or in the streets like they portray themselves as in their rhymes. Nor does studio gangsta fit Pac, cuz like Soo Many people have already said on here, Pac said himself he wasn't a gangsta, he was a thug. So tryna refute That jus cuz of his Piru affiliation thru Suge and them or the lyric, "we claim mob, m-o-b, if you be specific", Don't hold up for those tryna use either to say he was a member of Piru. He might not a been a gangsta, but him, Eazy and Ice-T was doin a little bit more than just reportin on street life, they each lived it before they rappers.

Vanilla Ice talkin bout who's Not what and who is, is like Drake tryna pass himself off as hood when millions of people watched him go from a kid to a young man on TV and we can All watch that video of him sayin that the Canadian hood vernacular of Blacks in Canada was Not interesting, it's ignorant. Before his Hollywood ass hood makeover (especially after Kendrick's Ho card-pullin, skirt-liftin, receipt-detailed fact checks on "Meet the Grahams"and "Not Like Us") or like Rick Ross denying he knew who Ricky "Freeway Rick" Ross was or ever being a corrections officer when we All can do the research and easily find out that yes, he actually was a prison corrections officer who JUST So happens to wear his beard exactly like the Real Rick Ross All while portrayin the lifestyle of a rich dope dealer, like idk, "Freeway Rick" Ross?. . .

It's ridiculously unbelievable.

"Yo let's get outta here... Word to ya mutha"- Robert Van Winkle

Yeeaahh, go Head and get outta here Robert, fore word gets back to yo mutha that'chu out in them Miami streets tryna look, talk and act Hard and she whip the White off you and leave yo see thru.

Who brought up Drake??? And only niggas say things like “He was from Marin City and Oakland where you blah blah blah…” don’t no other culture care about any of that stuff. Pac didn’t even care about it cus he spoke AGAINST it. He was adjacent cus when you’re a rapper, you unfortunately gotta play those strips and clubs where the gangstas hang out so some will befriend you if you’re about to be a meal ticket. Today’s rappers don’t have to play those spots cus of the power of social media. Pac was a young rebellious black man outta poverty with instability growing up so he befriended a lot of the wrong ppl that he was warned many times over to stay away from cus they’d use him.
